Holy sh*t! What a garbage missed call! Decker damn near tackled before the ball gets there and it results in the Ravens getting a TD. This awful team better not get to another championship game.

Well I'll make me picks (suppose can't really put it off any longer). Pretty much no confidence in the NFC games...both are essentially toss ups in my mind. That said:
Pats
Broncos
Seahawks
Packers

Might as well pick this weeks games even though I'm going to get at least half of them wrong. AFC: Denver over Baltimore - don't f**k this one up, Peyton, it's a gimmie. Houston over Cheatriots - I absolutely do not believe Houston will actually win this game but I can't bring myself to pick those scumbags from the land of god awful accents. NFC: Seattle over Atlanta - Falcons bomb in the playoffs, again San Fran over Green Bay - Not confident in either team and this is the closest matchup but I like San Fran's defense to give them the edge.

I disagree with the last point since playoffs don't matter when handing out a regular season award but otherwise manofmystery likes this post. RGIII and Luck were the big names this year and Luck should be in the discussion but if justice is served it'll come down to Wilson and Morris (who actually led the skins to the playoffs).

Statistically, I'll have to try and find it and pull it up again, but the only reason the Colts are in the playoffs was because of Luck. Without him, they are not a playoff team. |
Exactly my line of thinking.

That's right... Morris was 2nd only to Peterson in rushing yards gained this season. He deserves a lot of credit.

Frankly, RGIII was neither the best, nor most important, rookie on his own team. Alfred Morris should be getting a lot more credit than he is for the Redskins' season. I'd actually go Wilson, Morris, Luck, RGIII. That said, I completely ignored the defensive side. If there was a big impact defensive rookie, this year, then I missed hi.

Matt Ryan has to get over this post-season slump he always seems to get into (or I suppose the whole team has to). I still think Atlanta will beat Seattle, but after what I saw today, it's not going to be an easy feat. The poise and maturity of such a young team like the Seahawks, they weren't rattled a bit after going down 14-0 early on. Made some slight adjustments, and the Redskins didn't have a chance, bad knee or not on RGIII.

Oh MoM...for someone who always "jokes" you sure take things seriously. Besides, we've all seen the video, we know how far Ben got....and it wasn't in the end zone! great game from the hawks, was worried but they really turned things around. Complete, balanced team and Wilson may be more stable than Kaepernick, and just as explosive. Talent wise, Seattle may be the best in the NFC. Yeah even if RG3 develops into a pocket passer he's just so small. Vick has gotten hurt the last 2 years, from in the pocket, so that can't even be a "safe" place for a smaller dude. He's tough though, the kid has heart and the option is damn tough to play. I really would like him to not be around in the NFC east

^ Well deserved, but he does have a good supporting cast also. Since my Steelers are out, I sort of am pulling for the Seahawks. Oh, love the jamming cat...

Teams have keyed on Peterson all year because he us all the Vikings got. He's responded by putting up one of the most amazing season a running back has ever had. If I held Green Bay's D in any regard I might agree that them keying on him could mean something.
The Pack are still playing for somethin and I like Rogers more than Ponder(like by a factor or 50,000 times...)
The Pack will be throwing TDs left & right so the Viikings will have to play catch up. Too much pressure on Ponder.
Look for a bad game from him, in that case the Viikings run game is rendered moot. Plus the Pack dee will certainly be prepared for Peterson. Just how I see it. Now, if the Viikings man up, including Ponder and they punk the Pack, then major props for them for forcing their way into the playoffs. Ponder is an awful QB, can't argue that, but I don't think it'll matter that much. I give the Vikings D a good bit more credit than the GB D and don't foresee Rogers going crazy on them. I just feel that while the Packers have stumbled through the season the Vikings have been building to this roll they are on. I kinda see this playing out like the Giants-Packers playoff game from last season.
[
Just like I said. AP will dominate and stop about 5 yards short of the record and Minn. will go to the playoffs!
Congrats to you for picking the week 17 Viikings-Pack game correctly...
The first round picks:
Texans Ravens
Packers Redskins
I see you picked Seattle, fair enough. Just don't forget they won two games by hail Mary's & replacement ref blown calls. They are a 9-7 team. Yes, RGII played poorly vs Pitt, but Wash has Garcon back and they are 9-1 with Garcon.

The city of Washington D.C. can take a break for the rest of the year now. Russel Wilson rookie of the year, both other contenders could not produce in the playoffs.

RGIII isn't going to last more than a few years in this game. Not from lack of talent, from his body getting destroyed. His leg just collapsed under him as he went to pick up the ball... not even any contact.
