Soooo THAT's what wrong with you, uh???
I had hoped for your sake that whatever it was, would be less hopeless and terminal... (sorry couldn't resist)
----------------------------
Actually except for some really out-there dissonant music, i don't think there are artistes i like that most progheads would disapprove of...
but who knows....... there are some tasteless progheads around as well (given some of the artsites named in this thread) Edited by Sean Trane - June 17 2011 at 06:55 |

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

There aren't many non prog artists I like. Al Stewart and The Tubes are the two thats spring to mind but I doubt that many here actually hate these two!
I did have a liking for 'new age' music in the 80's which does seem to 'inspire' plenty of negative comments! I love this: |

For what they were at the time, Sepultura were "progressive" in at least some way. Definitely not prog, though.

Pop: ABBA, Prince, Michael Jackson (a little less than these two, though)
Rock: U2 (not so sure people HATE it here), Television, Scorpions, Judas Priest (again, hate is probably not the right word but general disdain perhaps), Alice in Chains I also like a lot of heavy-duty extreme metal, the real deal and not just whatever part of it gets called prog-metal. There's a certain following for grunge here. As long as it's not Nirvana.

Dookie was a big album for people around my age. I'm no Green Day fan, but they have a few enjoyable songs. Honestly never cared for anything I've heard on American Idiot though.

Got big into early 80s punk/hardcore over the past year. Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, and Bad Brains in particular.
