Still, I feel comfortable around the booklet.

Besides you should know that a lot of Beefheart stuff has two or more meanings at the same time.

She undresses and shows
the garden gnome she hid underneath her clothes - it smiles... it shrieks and runs away farting in your nose.

As sure as a rombat is not a wodent
I know that a wombat is not a rodent
I can tell that in reality
My mind's in a state of marsupiality. Edited by someone_else - June 07 2010 at 07:09 |

He ran his fingers slowly through my hair and gently caressed my neck. Fingers trembling with passion I took his free hand and directed it to my bosom. With a confident hand he began to caress my breast. A subdued moan escaped my lips.

[^^ Oops, Scott, no time to read all that now … Anyway, here’s my lyrics to The Rodent’s Quest. I’m sorry if the story is a bit confusing at points, but I make up for that by including a noble hero, mourning cows, a fierce beast, a fight and cheering wombats — true hallmarks of great poetry.]
THE RODENT’S QUEST The Rodent heard the cattle cry, their voices sad and sore Then he yelled his battle cry: "The cows shall cry no more!" He walked across the cattle field The moo cows watched him go He headed for the battle field, prepared to meet his foe Along the road the Rodent rode, towards the Humblebee’s abode The fishing rodents gleamed and glowed And soon he met the Dorian Toad Dorian Toad: Go away, obnoxious rodent! I will destroy you and feast upon your eyeballs! If you dare to open your eyes and see who I really am you will have a shock! There have been others I crushed their skulls like flowers of glass Then I devoured them and handed out to anglers their toes and tapeworms You’re the defenseless stupid, dirty rodent! (kazoo solo) He rode into the combat zone, he killed the beast and travelled on When he reached the wombat zone he realised that he had won The wompire whirled and wined with glee and played a playful womphonee The toad was known as Humblebee At last the wombats were free! Voice from the pond: I’m not defeated I’ll be back and I will find you I am the tadpole. Edited by refugee - June 10 2010 at 12:16 |
