Hua ha ha ha haha ..... I just noticed this thread from Erik's PM. Thanks Erik, for letting me know about this funny thread. After that, I got trouble finding the thread until today ...

Oh yeah .. it's a long Muslim Holiday last week and it's gonna be extended until next week. That's why I have written many reviews recently and probably next week. After that ... I cannot guarrantee I can be as productive as last week.

Am actually preparing some Indonesian prog bands like Guruh Gipsy, God Bless, Harry Roesli & His Gank, Wow!, Nerv, Pendulum, In Memoriam, Vantasma, Makara, Anane to be included here in progarchives. I still do some research on finding the most reliable sources as some of them are Vintage bands (Guruh Gipsy, Harry Roesli, God Bless). But don't worry, I will make sure that they are really "prog". Guruh Gipsy is a wonderful prog band. Only one band that probably I would classify as "Prog Related" because they had only one FULL PROG album out of 6 albums they released. But the other albums actually have one or two prog song. Hope that you don't mind for me adding another prog-related band. That's only one band. The rest are PROG to the corner and some of them were released under IPS (Indonesian Progressive Society).

BTW thanks for comments from you all ...

Salam,
Gatot

Gatot - if he keeps up his current speed, while Sean stays out buying albums, Erik's working on a new Background magazine edition (when Erik???), and James is hanging out on the Sunsetstrip at GeoCities.COM.

James ends up posting something like 40 reviews at a time so don't count him out.

I know Erik is mega motivated for the silver medal.

And Let's not forget our ultra motivated moderator who is not that far behind and can delete reviews as he wishes just for him to come up in the last stretch.Tongue

Not far from the truth actually I have to start buying (just did 20) some more because the racks of my library have all received my visit and been plundered a few times.

I think Erik to win this, he's motivated because of this thrread and when Led Zepp is added he'll have them finished shortly I think.

let the race continue and the best reviewer needn't win, for he'll be appreciated anyway.

Since early 2004 I write reviews for Prog Archives and I remember vividly that Prog Archives started to publish that 'MacDonald's like' reviewers competition. I had mixed feelings about it: on one hand I don't like that kind of competition, on the other hand it's a nice boost and ego-gratification [IMG]height=17 alt=Approve src="http://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley14.gif" width=17 align=absMiddle>

Personally I have great respect for Gatot and we know each other, sometimes we have contact via PM or via threads (like Led Zep). Our reviews are totally different: I am more focussed on giving information about lesser known bands with a restriction in the amount of words, Gatot prefers to write more extended reviews about his favorite bands with a wonderful personal touch. And I post more frequently with 2 or 3 reviews and Gatot post less frequently but then 5-6 or even more! And don't underestimate Loserboy because he suddenly appears with an amazingly large post so ... the tension is building [IMG]height=17 alt=Wink src="http://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" width=17 align=absMiddle>

By the way, Sean is manipulating this site by adding lots of mediocre bands like Santana and then posting 10 reviews ... [IMG]height=17 alt=LOL src="http://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif" width=17 align=absMiddle>

Erik, you should counter by adding an extraordinarily good (or bad ) band, an submit a load of reviews.
