^ I hear you man. Words can't describe how pissed I've been. What frustrates me the most is their pitching, for a long while, was pretty amazing. Remember when they held the Rangers to only 3 or 4 runs a game? But their offense just can not score for their life. It's like watching a billion dollars burn up on the field. How the mighty have fallen eh?
Ah well Riley. People like you and me have been spoiled man. I remember being a kid when the Yanks had the greatest team ever, and I pretty much expected them to go to the World Series every year, and every year the playoffs were a guarantee, you could bet money on it. But that wont always be the case and we've been lucky, I remember my dad telling me how during the 70's and 80's the Yankees just sucked.
I still have confidence in them. Here's to next year

I am so f**king fed up with the Yankees. They've played absolutely sh*tty baseball for the last couple of weeks. Today, 2B Robinson Cano failed to step on the bag to complete a fielder's choice, which cost them a run, Melky Cabrera had a fly ball fall out of his glove (still not sure why that wasn't an error), and Bobby Abreu ended a potential rally getting caught stealing, in a situation in which a stolen base doesn't really better the team's chance of winning the game. That's pretty much been a typical ballgame for the Yankees, who haven't played well in the field or smart on the basepaths for weeks now. The team currently has a grand total of two legitimate starting pitchers, and even when the team does get a quality outing from a starter it gets thrown away by bad fielding and lathargic hitting. The Yankees aren't gonna make the playoffs this year, and frankly, they don't deserve it.

It looks like the Cards and the Brew Crew are going to have an epic battle for the wild card.
I like the Cards chances with Carpenter coming back, Ankiel hopefully returning today, and Pujols continuing to make his case as the greatest hitter of this generation.

The Cards could have made a statement and possibly turned it around after handing it to the Cubs on Saturday but......it was business as usual on Sunday night. They could have had the Cub faithful thinking thoughts of 1969 all over again with a win last night. Still much time left but the Cards have to get over two teams.

Dodger releivers have been spectacular for the most part for a team that doesn't score a lot of runs. The last two games were bad but overall they have done well.

Well with Saito on the DL all they have is Broxton. I got to see Kershaw shut down the Cards today. Manny launched a 2 run HR. The Cardinal faithful love booing that guy. Could it be that they are upset that their GM couldn't pull the trigger and get him?

Kuo has been remarkably effective as well. He got the loss today, but that was because of two errors and a double play that should've been turned.

Pudge barely missed a start. The fact is he's only the starting catcher for three of the five Yankee pitchers (Moose and Andy insist on Jose Molina), plus they wanted Molina in the lineup against Jared Weaver for reasons we've already discussed.

I know the Angels have been giving the Yankees fits even back when they sucked and the Yanks were great. But it still hurts... Swept by Anaheim

Zambrano sure didn't look good against the Cards yesterday. 4 HR's and 9 runs total.

The Tigers have been shutout 11 times this year and they have lost 19 games when they had the lead or were tied going into the 7th inning. These two items are exaclty why they are 3 games under .500 and 7 1/2 games out of 1st place in the Central. Can you imagine the Yankees losing 19 games when they had the lead in the 7th inning or later with Rivera as their closer? Boston with Papelbon? Chicago with Jenks? Minnesota with Nathan? I would be really surprised if any of these teams have lost more than 5 games when tied or leading in the 7th inning or later. Very frustrating. Any how, the Tigers held on to beat the White Sox 8-3 tonight. I say hang on because with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th the score was 5-3, the Sox had men on 2nd and 3rd base, and Ramirez hit a line drive to left field that Ryan Raburn dove full out to catch and rob Ramirez of a single and 2 RBIs. It definitely hasn't been easy.

Yeah, it looks like the Yanks are flat out of ways to not call up Kennedy. Actually, the way things are going, they'll probably get Seattle to push Washburn through waivers and grab him just to piss ProgBagel off.

Yea, Im pretty sure they're calling up Kennedy After wang, if the Yanks continue on fine through losing Joba....well I dont even know

Kennedy!!! PLEASE!!!!
Now there should be no reason not to bring him back. If he does well, fill him in that 5th spot. When Joba comes back drop Ponson. Done.

Forget fantasy news, time for some BIG news. Joba is goin on the DL I thought, or hoped, his injury was nothing really. If Joba's gone a while well, I dont know how the Yanks will make it through that. Or worse, if he's seriously injured.....

I have had both Izzy and Jones on my fantasy team this year and neither was a pleasurable experience.
At least Brandon Lyon has been good for me all year.
