Progressive rock started when some musicians tried to cover some Classical standards to fill the last tracks of their LPs. Nothing more.
Magma is the sole French band that American can like, because they don't have to ask to the Canadians to translate the lyrics.

Sunn 0))) sped up 500 times sounds terrifying (because you can hear which bands they rip off).
Merzbow, Zappa, King Crimson or Sonic Youth slowed down 500 times don't sound weird: you just think it's one of their "experiments".

There should be a blanket ban on Prog songs of more than four minutes. Haven't they ever heard the phrase "Less is more"?  And enough with the solos already!

Prog musicians play in polyrhythms because they're bad at maths and can't count.
The "prog-folk" label is a scam and a plot to make us listen to the music of some pot smokers, bongo players and ecologist hippies.

All prog fans are sophisticated musically and also socially, emotionally, politically and intellectually.
All DT lyrics are deeply poetic and deeply meaningful. If you can't see that, you aren't understanding them yet.

Prog fans don't like Rap & Hip-Hop because there are too much words in each song.
