Topic: Best Seasame Street character Posted: January 29 2011 at 09:24
After Kermit, Grover was the one I identified most with.
Elmo and the Telly Monster were after my time.
I guess we need a best Muppet Show character poll. Hang on I'll do it.

I should have included Kermit in my choices, even though he's more closely related to the Muppet Show than Sesame Street, he was a frequent guest on the latter to warrant inclusion.

Kermit was better when he was quiet and eating flies from out of the air

I always liked The Count.
There is by the way a great movie, Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird, which I watched so often with my kids back in the day that it gave me permanent brain damage. Lots of good guests, including Chevy Chase, John Candy, Sandra Bernhard, and Waylon Jennings (who sings "There Ain't No Road Too Long", a fine little outlaw country number).
Link to the Waylon song:

Unless I'm very much mistaken Bork is a Muppet Show character and not a Sesame Street one.

Gotta show some love for Oscar, who showed kids that it's ok to be a right b*****d.
