I don't think I would be able to restrain myself from arguing with him for very long.

^ No, and he doesn't have a rational justification either, he still calls him self a vegetarian though, that's wacky enough.

A colleague of mine is a vegetarian who eats burgers and sausages. Over the years I've learnt to stop correcting him on that.

In general I eat more veggies and grains than meet but I'm not vegetarian. I'm trying to be vegan by 25, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to cut cheese and hamburgers out of my life.

I live in a society where I can be healthy and eat things I like (and I'm not really a fan of vegetables) without killing animals, so why should I? |
For the protein, or the fat, or the taste, or the convenience, or because plants are living things too?

Anyway, I think it's mostly possibly to be healthy without meat in a diet, just really inconvenient unless you have spare time and the funds. I live mostly on 4/$10 pizza deals from Kroger or Wal-Mart. Sometimes I get some sandwich meats. And dairy can be acceptable if it's done in a respectable kind of way, not like these milk assembly lines or whatever. But that's rare. I suppose I do live close to Amish country, so if I feel like paying $5 for a gallon of milk, there we go.
