Most metal album covers? Sure. But they are freakin' horrible abominations which should only be regarded with pure hatred, condescension and much smashing with a hammer.
Also, the band sucks.

Surprised not to see any cannibal corpse on here. Don't think album covers get any more metal than that. (On second thought, it might make this thread rather NSFW ) |

This is the only cover that made me buy the album without ever hearing of the band or any of their music, way back in the hazy days of 1981.
Best metal cover EVER,Derek Riggs is awesome,

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Just to mention a few... The metal album covers from the 80's were the best, IMO! |

Some classics:
Metallica- Master of Puppets King Diamond- Them Slayer- South of Heaven I'll add more when I can think of them. Most of my metal albums are at my parent's house, and my memory is failing me. |

Personally, I hate most modern computer-drawn metal album covers. Give me the hand-painted stuff any day. (Same goes for prog album covers.)
Utterly evil. Okay, not actually a metal album...I know! Still, love the mysteriousness of this cover. I don't care if it's filled with Orcs, I want to live here. My winter cottage away from Minas Morgul. |
