SEBTP
Trick of the tail
Nursery Cryme
The Lamb
ATTWT
W&W
Foxtrot
Trespass

Plus... the later ones (being listed separately doesn't mean they're worse, just different):

Duke
Genesis
Invisible Touch
Abacab
We can't dance

I don't necessarily disagree with the order, but Duke is no different from ATTWT.

Its amazing how many people ignore the first post, and set thyeir own agenda for the thread.

Nothing changes.Ouch

My post however is accurate and true to the threads intentions, in that, I have included no live albums and no albums from after ATTWT.Smile

You're right Ian. But I'm not gonna let it bother me anymore. Waste of energy ... After all: the forum is for fun, isn't it ? Tongue

Greetings my fellow Proggian,

Indeed brother, indeed. A day without prog is a sad day indeed - never were truer words so valiantly spoken by a man of such wisdowm and clarity.Clap

As for your Genesis list(the reason I'm writing) I have to say, Wind & Wuthering is actually one of their weakest efforts - it's an album full of filler I''m afraid.
No disrespect, but I personally think A Trick Of The Tail is probably the most fully-rounded and complete LP they have produced. And it's got Squonk. Nuff said.
My favourite tho? That's a bloody difficult question.
I love them all up to Trick  - but if I'm pushed I'll probably have to say Nursery Cryme. It's got the amazingly zany, pseudo-victorian, balls-out rock stomp of my all-time favourite Genesis tune Return Of The Giant Hogweed
As our great friend and scholar Tina Turner once said, it is "Simply the best!"

THE LIST:

1) Nursery Cryme
2) A Trick Of The Tail
3) Selling England By The Pound
4) Foxtrot
5) The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
6) Trespass
7) Duke
8) Wind & Wuthering

Nice talking, I must return to Proggia, my home planet, found in the system Progressiva.
its a groovy place...

I like the idea but how did you get 'Abacab' 4th on the alphabetical list? LOL

I think the dots and/or the quotes are to blame for the inexcusable improper sorting of titles. LOL
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I haven't heard ATTWT so I'll have to leave it at that. Foxtrot and TLLDOB are interchangeable.

What can I say? It's called the classic line-up for a reason LOL
