oh no.... see here's the fun. The Yanks have set themselves up to be the story of the year... ALL those inflated saleries. When the Yanks crash and burn... and they will... it is ALL the more fun. Personally I love CC Sabathia.. one HELL of a pitcher. However HOW MANY times have we seen guys fold under the unique pressure that is NYC. He'll get his money... and with it boos when his ERA creeps above 3 and the Yank's fall again to a more intelligently built team in Boston.. and a younger.. hungrier team in Tampa. f**k the Yanks???? oh no Thank God for the Yankees. if we have learned anything in pro sports... money does not buy championships. Torre won his titles with a team that was not bought.. but came through what was at one time a great farm system.

See, this is part of the reson why I don't like sports. It's very nature is all about being better than the other guy and very competitive. It seems that it's much tougher for people to agree to disagree when itr comes to sports as opposed to music. |
Can we talk about religion or politics please.

It's gonna be Don Larson's perfect game, rerun with the original commentary by Vin Scully and the original advertisements for reasons I cannot comprehend.

At the rate they're going it might be 28 years before the Yankees see another title.

By that time A-Rods contract might finally be paid off.

Congrats to the Phillies and their fans. It is good to see that they didn't let the celebration get too out of hand.

Well, anything's possible, but I really hope they close it out at home tonight. Do not like the prospect of going back to Tampa Bay, even up 3-2.
