i don't think it should be banned...some folks need bold, capital letters. in fact, i like the picture feature here because some folks need to have it drawn out for them.

Yes it is, yes it is. Are different fonts part of the discussion?

Because if they are well .........

I guess some times you just have to use a lot of uppercase letters to express yourself in situations where lowercase does not suffice(imitating shouting, expressing anger or similar feelings).

But I think most people have enough common sense to understand that consequently typing with caps lock on is annoying for the other members of the forum, and thus reconcider their way of typing. If they don't, we can simply ignore their posts or choose not to take them seriously; like Peter Rideout said: Let the "court of public opinion" handle such matters

Each piece as amorphous as the other - Each piece in its lack of shape a lie

Really? That is interesting. (sorry about the weird font, but I got Firefox and am finally able to use these things a whole lot easier.)

Hey, I didnt laught at you or what you wrote! I just found it funny, actually I thank you for having said something like that man! Thumbs Up

OK then... Misunderstanding...

It's not too funny for me, though; I have to say: "Unfortunately", due to my pretty bad seeing. Those big letters were really the most comfortable ones to read.

I hope I would be saying the same thing had I the normal seeing too.

In any case, rather than attempting to heavy-handedly "legislate" forum font manners or "morality," I think "netiquette" should take care of itself.

A little reply like "stop SHOUTING at me" should suffice. The "offender" may not even realise he is being "rude" according to common accepted practice.

Let the "court of public opinion" handle such matters -- I think it generally does the job well.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

^ it doesn't matter much to me ... it annoys me, and I know that many other forums consider it bad manners, so I started this thread.

I'd say for me it's a 2 on a 1-10 scale of importance.LOL

Just a small question here, and it will probably expose my utter naivety:

Does it really matter that much to people?
