I voted for Strawberry Fileds only because I prefer the flip side of the single  - Penny Lane. Check the vocal & melodic inflections & see if you can find things that Peter Gabriel would build on with Genesis.

I must agree. I've never considered "Revolution #9" an actual song. It's more of a piece of performance art.

"Happiness is a Warm Gun" has the most progressive structure. It's the best song you can use to counter any 'Beatles weren't prog' arguments.

Happiness Is A Warm Gun is a very prog song, in the fact that it changes to keep itsself interesting. A Day In The Life is probably more influential on prog though.
