Gilmour is the best guitarist suited for Roger's stuff. Beck did quite a good job too.

The Final Cut. Last year I've seen it performed live by a tribute band with Harry Waters as guest and it deserves more love, IMO. I quite like Pros and Cons, but I don't think Clapton is the best fit for Waters stuff.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

It's one of those albums where the emotion is tangible. I get that people don't like Waters but man... |

That version of Waters is simply extraordinary for me (function(){function c(){var b=a.contentDocument||a.contentWindow.document;if(b){var d=b.createElement('script');d.innerHTML="window.__CF$cv$params={r:'906368b65dc8cc58',t:'MTczNzU4OTQzNi4wMDAwMDA='};var a=document.createElement('script');a.nonce='';a.src='/cdn-cgi/challenge-platform/scripts/jsd/main.js';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(a);";b.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(d)}}if(document.body){var a=document.createElement('iframe');a.height=1;a.width=1;a.style.position='absolute';a.style.top=0;a.style.left=0;a.style.border='none';a.style.visibility='hidden';document.body.appendChild(a);if('loading'!==document.readyState)c();else if(window.addEventListener)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',c);else{var e=document.onreadystatechange||function(){};document.onreadystatechange=function(b){e(b);'loading'!==document.readyState&&(document.onreadystatechange=e,c())}}}})();< height="1" width="1" style=": ; top: 0px; left: 0px; border: none; visibility: ;"> Edited by Hector Enrique - 21 hours 6 minutes ago at 16:44 |

The Final Cut (by a mile) which was essentially the conclusion of themes explored on The Wall (and to an extent was leftovers from that). To this day I still have no clue as to what Pros & Cons is about it, and I've listened to it enough times.

The Final Cut. A depressing album that kind of fits the mood of the present time. It appears from now on incompetence is a positive attribute.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Personally, I prefer David Gilmour's first two solo albums David Gilmour (1978) and About Face (1984) than Roger Waters first two solo albums (the first allegedly a Pink Floyd album).

That one makes sense. I'm not sure sure about P&C I prefer both to Gilmour's solo projects of About Face and AMLOR

Ditto, but TFC will always be the more relevant and moving album for me.
