There's no Naked Lunch sex toy reference in this one, unlike the other. ;) Rather than closing either poll, which are not exact duplicates, since the other one is the "serious" one, then perhaps this one could go to Just For Fun, or as I like to call it, the place where all serious topics that turned-out silly go to die. I'm not saying that that's necessarily true, I just like to call it that. |

I admit I am a Queen fanboy (though not a boy in actuality). I've been loving them since I can remember. But the thread opener started another same thread after my abuse - "the serious edition" - so one of them should be locked. |

Somebody found my cookie jar. I admit I have a weakness for all the bands in the poll. When I have an aural sweet tooth, I reach past my Unexpect, Zappa, and King Crimson albums for my hidden stash of Queen, Styx, ELO, Sparks, or Super Tramp.

Anyway, I am casting my sole vote for Supertramp. I am casting but one vote as I feel no need to try and try again.

God save the Queen from exuberant fanatics. I can understand the embarrassment. ;)
As far as I'm concerned, such a poll is merely an accessory for discussion. When I do such polls I'm more interested in the discussion than the results, and since there has been discussion, I am reluctant to lock it (to me that seems unfair to various people who actually took the time to write here and may be trying to engage in discussion). It's funny in a way, but I guess cause my tastes are no popular enough, I have done lots of multiple vote polls and never do I think has anyone abused them. The biggest abuse to me has been people not voting at all. My polls have simply not attracted the zealous fanboys (or fanboy since it only takes one and I should not presume that it is a boy at all) as certain bands seem to. |

Queen forever! I was a bit drunk and bored. Sorry, guys... But Queen IS the best band in the world. Period. |

If one reads between the lines the poll question is actually: Which of these bands has the most pathetic loosers as their fanbase.

Queen, but Supertramp are close on their tail, but they never topped COTC IMO.
There was a good documentary about 10CC the other night. I find most of what I've heard by them quite irritating, but the documentary did rekindle my interest in Godley & Crème. |
