I've only heard "In Harmonia Universali" but it's AWESOME! One of the best prog-metal albums I've heard. It's not vrey heavy, more on the Prog side of prog-metal.

Check them out man, although many of them you will not be certainly your cup of tea. I love Avant-Prog, and Avant-Everything. Many of the albums on my list you're not familiar with are like Avant-Metal or Avant-Prog Metal... But you know, as everything Avant-garde, it is really challenging and extremely recommended.

Please start with Italian Jazz-Avant-Metal band, Ephel Duath.

I don't mind metal when it's really innovative and lays off the cookie monster vox. Italian Jazz-Avant-Metal sounds like it HAS to be worth a shot!

I don't think Most Metal bands have "Cookie monster" vox?

Nope, but some do and they're an immediate turnoff for me.

Anyway thanks hugely for the list Mnemo! I really appreciate it!
