What do you think about clavitars or keytars. Are they worthy of purchase?

I know :-D

I'm bored.

But I think an entire band comprised of keytars would be badass.

Doesn't this make you want to play the keytar?

Badass.

They're worthy of purchase if you want one and are prepared to pay the price, they're not if you don't. What more do you want to know?

If I were you, buy a REAL keyboard, or better, real synths. Or buy a guitar. But not a keytar. It's just a gimmick, a plaything.

But well: I'm not you, but since you ASKED... that's my opinion anyway. Keytar is just a wannabe guitar. A keyboard in an identity crisis  ...

I think the picture I posted obviously speaks for itself. If you buy a keytar, chances are you'll end up like one of those guys.

P.S. My punk-proggy band, Natural Level (for which I play drums for) has a song titled "We Need A Keytar Player." We see those things as just funny gimmicks
