This clip is from a 70s concert. You see hundreds of guys headbanging, women hysterically screaming and even fainting. But who played at that concert? Take a guess. I offer one possibility for each letter of the alphabet. Since 25 is the maximum number of choices in polls here I left out the "X". For obvious reasons I had to remove the sound. Take a guess. Who is the artist that caused these extreme reactions? Edited by BaldFriede - May 11 2021 at 05:12 |

Looks like a few different concerts to me. An 80's Michael Jackson show, and some generic heavy metal show from maybe a few years earlier.
Beyond that I've no idea. Only Led Zep would have evoked that kind of reaction from the choices in the poll, in my opinion, but it looks far too late to be Zep. Maybe Sabbath...at a push. Edited by Blacksword - May 11 2021 at 05:47 |

The footage is from one concert only. The guy who posted it says this in the description: "This is the only remaining footage from this concert. All (other) footage has
been lost. Men were reported to act like animals and the women were
reported to pass out".

Intriguing Is it definitely from the 70's? The security guys are wearing Michael Jackson shirts (I think) and I don't think he toured as a solo artist until the early 80's.

Michael Jackson started his solo career in 1971.

Only Mike Oldfield could get a crowd going like that.

I agree with Blacksword... It looks like different concerts - three in fact. The venues look different. The crowds look different. The time of day looks different. The middle one is obviously a Michael Jackson concert -- given the screaming women and security in MJ tee shirts.

The Julliard String Quartet, probably during an all-Bartok set.

Clearly it's not all the same concert, one is indoors and one is outdoors for a start. There is a Michael Jackson gig as you can see his name on the security shirts and clearly see a girl mouthing "Michael" and there's no way those blokes having a massive bundle are at an MJ concert.

I'm guessing it's a trick question... You can actually tell from the clothes that people are wearing, among other things that it's not footage from the 70's.

This is definitely edited from three different sources: As yogev points out, the last part is from a death metal concert at the Wacken festival 2008 (and shows that some rock fans have as many neurons as some football hooligans - between 5 and 10, I guess). The Michael Jackson part is located and dated here in Bucharest 1992... Now, who identifies the first part? Edit: OK, found it here... 2017!

Looks like some of our members are considerably more resourceful and incredulous than the OP anticipated?

Wow, good work. So the bit about it being all the same concert from the 70s is not entirely true then.
