"Haven't practiced in a month". That is quite an achievement Josh:P
If I don't play guitar for once day, I make up for it by practicing 6-7 hours the next day.

I can't practice for much more than about an hour at a time because my hand muscles aren't strong enough yet and that damn Fender is too punishing on my weak little fingers.

Haha... well, let's just say that they're glad it was for a good cause. Nah, nobody really minds.
However, the only girl I really care about at this point did it with me, so I don't really value anybody else's opinion anyway.

Yeah, I cannot bear to play Fender basses, with their 9.5inch fretboard radiuses. Spector have 16 inch radius fretboards, and Ibanez even have a bass with a 20 inch radius, which a friend of mine has and it is seriously way easier and nicer to play than any Fender bass.
How long have you been playing bass, cos my friend has only been playing for about a year and he can play for hours straight, and do 8 finger tapping with no pain and even hammer on runs and stuff, so I'm guessing you don't practice the stuff that really builds strength (think legato exercises).

Well, hopefully she's sufficiently impressed with your commitment...now it's out for coffee or a movie and back to your place for extracurricular activities*. * worked for me, anyway

Wow A couple weeks ago my friends asked me to play my Fender J bass for an hour long gig, and I'm not even much of a bass player, ans still survived the rehearsals and set easy.

I can't play drums for more than an hour and a half. Or a bit longer. I just start getting so tired and so sweaty that it's just unbearable.

I'm more of a traditional romantic.
But I'll stop talking about her now since if Josh name-drops her we'll have a new joke that I don't want to be the butt of.
