Beer or Wine

 Beer all the way. I may have the occasional glass of wine with a meal, but nothing beats an ice cold Bud after a long day at work.

Wine is much more sophisticated, like prog. Beer is for sleazy metalheads only.

Beer. I like wine, but I just prefer beer. Beer also goes better with curry and chinese; fish and chips; steak pie and gravy; Mexican or chilli. Wine goes better with French cuisine; subtle Italian flavours; cheese and biscuits. Heck, guess I'm just a slob at heart.

And of my two favourite keyboardists, Wakeman is - or was - a beer man, Emerson went for wine, so er...hic.....

 

Beer. Especially brown ale, pale ale, german weiss bier and hefeweizen, and an array of Belgian abbys whatever I may find when I go abroad, because in my country there is not developed a culture of beer. We produce only light lager, and mostly poor quality.

I've always preffered wine, white wine in particular (I'd choose beer over red wine, any day). Although I like some beers, I find wine seems to have a more distinct taste whereas I can never fully get over the impression of beer as bitter water.

Maybe it's simply down to which you tasted first. I was brought up on wine and cider. They say beer is an acquired taste. Maybe I never bothered acquiring myself to it properly.

Any cider drinkers here?
