Radiohead.  While they are very popular, and are often given more credit than they deserve.  I like that they are willing to do some songs outside of the normal Pop single (although I really wish they would do an epic.)  Muse and Coldplay are plain vanilla alternative rock, and never really try to do anything beyond the realms of that genre.
Such as putting a symphony at the end of a rock album? Ok pal...

A 3 part symphony =/= progressive, nor does it automatically make a song good, or a band original... Not to mention it was godawful and my least favourite part of The Resistance.

You're probably at odds with most Muse fans then - it's the best part on the album by miles.

I didn't say a 3 part symphony was 'progressive' but it's plain stupid to suggest that Muse aren't trying to do anything outside the realms of their genre when they produced a symphony.

A symphony is associated with classical music, and that's what it sounds like. How is that NOT outside the realms of their genre? A rock band making a classical symphony? Yeah, sounds vanilla to me.

The quality of it in your eyes doesn't divert from the fact that is very experimental for a mainstream band to do.
And lo, the mighty riffage was played and it was good

Muse by a large margin. I do like some Radiohead. Coldplay bores me to death-

Most definitely and absolutely Muse. Their skill far exceeds the other bands although Radiohead is extremely good in their own trippy/on drugs way. Coldplay has like 2 good songs. the rest are just generic crap. I don't even see why most people think radio head is better

Radiohead > Coldplay > Muse.

I like all, especially Radiohead, but recently Muse have been sucking pretty bad. Coldplay is overrated in the real world but underrated on this site. It's kinda funny.

Coldplay
Radiohead is rather boring and Muse is annoying with their high-pitched vocals.

Radiohead are the most creative and innovative, so they get the vote. But Coldplay has two AMAZING albums.

Muse is.,.. whiny.

I don't see the appeal in any of them, but I've also only heard one album or so from each

Gosh, Coldplay is getting a lot of hate. I really like them. Their newest Brian Eno-produced album is really very good, with only a couple of weak tracks (unfortunately, those are the singles that everyone has heard). Seems to me that Coldplay would be better received if only they weren't so big.

DIssing Coldplay around here is akin to what you did back in high school and you carried a condom around in your wallet. Sure, it didn't really reflect who you were, but you showed it off anyway and acted like you were getting laid just to score your buddies' approval. If this weren't an exclusively prog community, I think the same members would suspiciously be much more fond of Coldplay.

I think all three bands have their moments, but since I'm not terribly familiar with any of their full catalogues, I cannot honestly vote.

Radiohead and Muse are quite blahseh for my tastes.

Coldplay at least made A Rush Of Blood To The Head which is one of the most solid rock/pop albums I've heard.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me

Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
