anyway, this was merely meant as a vehicle for thinking and discussing human nature at large and how the internet has affected sensibilities and common decency in a negative way..... really I just wanted to see everyone's take on it....  Strange how in this age of accelerated information evolution (and supposed inter-connectedness), we may have actually devolved as a species.....  not that I am necessarily a luddite, but there are parts of Neo-luddite-ism that appeals to my primal aspects... in effect, people are accessing their primal instincts online by showing who is tougher or a better word-smith, or better at debates..... In short a good majority of people treat it as a form of competition or "one-up-manship" than is necessary... at least in my opinion... but then again I tend to think of most people as self-absorbed little win-at-any-cost machines... (occasionally) myself included.... Why the need for competition?  Can't we help each other evolve in better ways than that?  I guess in the end- humility seems to be lacking.... which takes absolute self-awareness and honesty (in spite of possibly not liking what you are inside of your truthful mind)....  basically, this is a stage for charlatans and fakes who can live vicariously and be the superhuman they may not be in REAL LIFE..... 

So what can I do about it, you ask?

I can turn off my computer and go about my real life.  Or is real life too painful?

I do think that there are so frequently meanies on the net that unfortunately we're led to almost expect that someone is being mean in a posting, often leading to outrage where there need not be any. I know I am guilty of getting my back up reading a post that was not designed to do that.  It's sad really,

Can someone explain to me what a troll is?I thought it was an evil  dwarf that lived in a cave or under a bridge in old English or Scandinavian folklore Besides my email addresses(  where I communicate with people I know physically in real life )  this site is the only place where I actually "talk" with other cyberspace entities.
