My answer is simple: Prog=Art. Other music is just music, and prog is not music, is art.

Prog is a pretty little flower that smells really bad.

It has multiple definitions:

1. Forward-thinking, rock-based music
2. A term to describe bands who work within the styles of of the bands in definition 1, without necessarily progressing things themselves

it's really about as simples as that.
