When I was still in high school ( about a century or two ago), I had an old stereo that had speakers with ONE speaker each. NO Tweeter, Mid Range or subwoofer or any other animal like sound sounding name. I wired these old Radio Shack Realistic car speakers (the plastic one you put on the top behind your rear seats) to give me 4 speakers. I then played a few AC/DC & Foghat LPs. And I kid you not, I still have not heard a better sounding guitar tone since. Of course, the bass was not exactly prominent, not the drums, but the guitars sounded like buzzsaws.
But anyways, does anyone remember when Canadian speakers were considered reliably well built ?

Many guitar amps come with one membrane only ... usually one 12" or 15" membrane is quite enough, since the guitar tone contains no ultra-high frequencies you don't need a tweeter.Smile
