Spinal Tap is the rock movie to end all rock movies.

Stop Making Sense  is another classic concert movie.

Don't Look Back is one of the few rockumentaries it's possible to take seriously.

I also have a soft spot for Tommy - I saw it at an impressionable age.

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

Wait until 200 Motels it is correctly transferred digitally on DVD!! Zappa shot at the time on High definition Video! IMHO the story(music business &society) is as actual as ever!

2. Almost Famous
3. That'll Be The Day
4. Stardust
5. The Wall
6. Help
7. Hard Day's Night

I left out concert movies etc as there's too many and
most are boring.

The Wall- since it was inspired by the best album ever

Jesus Christ Superstar-a classic, got to hand it to the guys!

Quadrophenia-for some reason, I can't think why The Wall was better. Ah well..

You've started early for New Years, I gather...

Actually 3B Theater does a great job of dissemilating the movie "Head".. I especially like the critic's comments at the bottom...

HEAD is one strange film. The newspaper advertisements for it asked, "What is HEAD?" And the answer is? I’m not sure.

It really isn’t a film -- but a stream of consciousness, or random thoughts patched together. I think it could be best described as channel surfing when there's nothing on. You stick around long enough to see that you don't want to watch it and move on; but here, the Monkees have their fingers on the remote.

HEAD borders dangerously close on being too pretentious for its on good.

Hmmm... too pretentious... no wonder I sort of like this movie....

I see a head and some shoulders on that MONKEY. How can you tell it's an ape? Is that one of those synergy things you canadians  think you do so well?
