Well I just want him to be there for the Cowboys game...so the cowboys will lose.  But agreed...it seemed like that report cleared the organization, aside from Brady and the equipment people. I assume it will be appealed so I suppose it could change.

Yeah I think there's been near universal agreement amongst all sane people...obviously the impacts of "deflategate" are minimal, and much as I am a Patriot hater, and I am, it doesn't really take away from their last SB victory. Of course it was against the rules, should be penalized, and it's another little "thorn" stuck into the side of the Pats legacy.
But yeah, 4 SBs, 100 mill in the bank, and the 2001 (to ongoing) Pats can now go down as a dynasty like the ones of the NFL lore. 4 games, a million bucks aint really hurtin em.

I hate the Patriots, but I think
(1) Football deflation is common, known, and unregulated by the NFL. (Definitely knew about and did not act on the Panthers-Vikings manipulation)
(2) The Wells report does not show that deflation occurred. The data is consistent with non-manipulation.
(3) Exponent has a history of bending data to fit the preferred conclusion of their employer.

Oh yeah let's be real, this is not really a big deal aside from the fact it was in violation of the rules. And I didn't know all that stuff (I was preparing for/on vaca when this news broke I just saw the blurb) but it seems quite possible the report was a bit of a sham job.
Really though, even if it happened it's not like it was a make or break thing, and it doesn't help their defense in anyway, or run game or all that. Also this is gunna be 2007 all over again. Brady will come back week 5 and play with guns blazing, take no prisoners citing the whole "world hates us" shtick they did back then, turning themselves into the victims again and playing possessed. And yeah, like it or not people need to accept the Pats have won...both in the literal sense and figuratively in that nothing can really be "done" to them now.
Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I'm cautiously optimistic for the Giants season. Offense was starting to gel, Randle was FINALLY showing some improvement and the O line was hit or miss but looking on the upswing. If these continue, Cruz can return to at least a good player, could be some good stuff. Defense again is gunna be the question mark.

I'll say the Jags. This out of nowhere 4 game suspension seems like a high water mark that can/will be whittled down in the appeal process. While I have no problem with all 4 games going away, I suspect that there will still be some suspension active afterwards.

I actually don't know if he'd win an appeal. I mean, I'm with others it's a bit OTT but given....previous issues with the Pats and the debacle this caused and Dictator Goodell I could see them being firm with Brady and holding up the suspension, esp after the epic disaster that was 2014 (in terms of scandals and the leagues failings) he's gunna want to look tough.
Nah man, tis tradition and I'm not sure other Pat fans have popped up here ya gotta make the new thread. Landon Collins has been impressing the Giants so far. Would be nice to see our safety position rebound after going from strong to pathetic.

I think he gets the suspension reduced at the very, very least. Having a lot of trouble seeing 4 games stand given how weak the report is (see Pat's points in case you want to void my obvious homerism)
