From Norman Bates to Sam Spade, from Count Dracula to Nurse Ratched.

What the forensic methods of sketching just from description has revealed first and foremost is that going just by the text, quite a few of the characters look nothing like countless illustrators not to mention Hollywood would have us believe. Sam Spade in particular looks less like Humphrey Bogart than a young Rutger Hauer, and Dracula nothing like Bela Lugosi or Christopher Lee.
