and Galileo Records proudly announces having found two new pearls in the vast
ocean of music. Both acts are young and promising bands from Europe
and their debut-CDs are about to hit the markets soon.
FramePictures is a band from Porto (Portugal)
and have been playing music together since 2004. The members of the band all
have different musical backgrounds, but one essential feature is throughout
common: High musicianship and longstanding experience. This all has flown into
their debut "Remember It" which moreover comes along with a rich and
perfect sound. Musical influences vary from progressive-rock and
progressive-metal to post-metal. The vocals are sung in English. "Remember
It" has a playing time of ways longer than one hour and contains some
long-tracks, amongst them one of more than ten and twenty minutes playing time
respectively. Galileo Records GmbH will publish "Remember It" soon on
a worldwide basis.
Sky Architect come from Holland
and consist of five young and highly talented musicians who proudly hold up the
flag of progressive rock. Their acclaimed musicianship comes - amongst others -
from three of the band studying music at the Pop
Academy in Rotterdam
und them all using mainly analogous equipment. This leads the way to their
musical style: A unique blend of avant-garde-prog without denying their
influences by bands such as King Crimson, Camel, Anglagard, Gentle Giant, The
Flower Kings, Porcupine Tree or Pain of Salvation. Their debut
"Excavations of the Mind" is a complex dynamical symphonic
concept-album. It is backed by a fantastic cover of legendary Mark Wilkinson
who is famous for his masterpieces for Marillion, Fish, Judas Priest and Iron
Maiden. Galileo Records GmbH will bring out "Excavations of the Mind"
on a worldwide basis soon.
The CD will be available in stores around the world on July 13, 2010 and direct from the
ProgRock Records site immediately, shipping in mid April 2010. Pre-sales are
