Yikes.  And here I thought this was just a friendly football chat.

The Eagles and Bengals aren't as bad as their performances were yesterday, and for the Bengals they play at home.  Welker out is a huge blow to the Pats but they're at home and I'm unimpressed with the Ravens.

The Packers/Cards is a stretch, but I wanted to be contrarian.  Yes Jim the Cards looked impressive as hell against the Vikes but they've also had some dismal performances.

And guess what:  if I'm wrong I've lost precisely nothing.

Hmmm yes....sure no bias? Wink
Crazy offense, but your team is badly lacking what wins championships.
I agree with the Eagles and Packers, but I actually am jumping on the Jets bandwagon, kind of.
#1 defense in the NFL
#1 running team in the NFL
Solid all around....they got it all. If only Sanchez can put a consistent run together

Of course there's a bias.  That said, I still think they can do what it takes to take out the Ravens.  That'll be the end of their playoff run though.

Well then, I sure hope you enjoy that one game of success!
And if Sanchez can not manage a good run, Jets could be scary. Legitimate too, they got one solid team. I'm talking all the way.

And the Pack is a POSSIBLE sleeper Im thinking. Defense has continued to improve, good run and pass game (though no one believes the passing part).

I'm not as dialed in on the whole league as you guys are, but I'll give it a shot for fun!

There's no freakin' way the Packers are beating the Cardinals though.  We (Vikings) gobbled the Packers twice and will do so again if we get them.  The Cards on the other hand just kicked our ass and scare the hell out of me.

Sad thing is, had Peterson not dropped that football, the Vikings would be the number one seed and have home field throughout.  And they're 8-0 at home.  But it wasn't to beCry

The real sad thing is that dome teams have homefield throughout.  I hate sissy dome football, you want to play inside on carpet then go join the Arena League. Cheering for the Vikings at a home playoff game should involve 12 layers of clothing and hypothermia, not a long sleeved t-shirt and one of those fruity roll open signs they hand out now.  There might not be anything I hate more on a sunday afternoon than seeing some half-assed pseudo-fan in the stands holding one of those glossy, cookie cutter, "official" signs that roll up neatly so they can fit in their fanny packs.  Whew, sorry about that little rant, been a tough week and a half.

I'm changing my Packers/Cardinals pick due to injuries.

But I completely agree about Dome football. When I was a kid and playing football we used to love the rain and the snow. Nothing beat a mudbowl or a snowbowl. Or those days when it was so cold you couldn't feel anything until 2 hours after you got home to defrost. I hate domes with a passion.

I understand.  I have nostalgic memories of watching the Vikes at the old Met in the snow, Bud Grant not allowing heaters, drunk guys everywhere with their shirts off.  i can appreciate it.

But for really watching a good game, I guess I'll take the dome, or at least good dry weather outdoors.  I like to see the game at its fastest and the guys being truly able to move and run at their top gear.  I get no enjoyment watching superstars fall down and slide around, and moving half-speed..  Snow/mud bowls bore the sh*t out of me after about 5 minutes of slip-sliding.

Glad to hear some people agree about the domes.

That is not football. And Im not being some tough ass, (trust me....ask anyone who has known for a minute and they can tell you that). But domes?
Ironic, I was talking to a friend of my dad's today.... I cant believe a life long Giant fan said today he was upset the new stadium isn't domed. The thought of the Giants playing in a dome is honestly a little sickening.
He said "sure, love it when you're 21 man but when you are 50 like me its better to enjoy the 52" screen, some beers warmth. All I know is my dad is 50 (and some of his tailgating friends are older) and they tailgate in the brutal cold and wind of Giant stadium 5 hours before the game (because that is the limit).

Sorry....rant. But domed football is not football. In fact for that sole reason I hope the colts lose now LOL

I already said the Pats would lose, (and I said it would be because of their pourous defense) but I just heard they lost Welker. That settles it.
Welker is a huge part of that offense. HUGE. In fact without him I believe they lost to the Jets.

consider their opponent though, shut down Ray Rice and all they need to do is put up 14 pts which they shouldnt have trouble doing on this years Ravens D, video tapes Welker or no video tapes Welker

We shall see....

The Jets were handed their victory against Cincy. Not as blatant as Colts but cmon....some didnt start and they put out no effort. We'll find out how this real game will go. And all over ESPN radio everyone is talking about David Harris being out for the Jets and how this is pretty much the apocolypse LOL

Rooting for the Bengals, Eagles, Packers, and Ravens for this round.

Well....the Cowboys finally won a playoff game.
It's ok they can have their fun. Hopefully the next team will knock them off.

With the Bengals out guess Im going for the Jets. Not bandwagoning....but they have a damn good team. If Sanchez can just not screw up they could go all the way. Of course he is still a noob but hey we shall see

I'm thinking you are using your emotions over your brains. Packers over Cardinals..probably yes
Pats over Ravens...maybe, but with Welker out, I'm doubting it.
Eagles over Cowboys at the Cowboys...REALLY?!Confused
Bengals over Jets...NO friggin Way!! The Bengals got like 82 yards in total offense against the Jets yesterday.

You guys forgot one other prediction group out there. I know its hard for you guys to admit that I am right about everything but seeing is believing baby!!

Well Greg I matched your 3-1predictions and I'm a relative football novice, so what does that say about youLOL
(just teasing).
Tongue

But not teasing when I say......there is little in Football that gives me more pleasure than watching Aaron Rodgers lose.  Can hardly wait till next year to watch him lose some more.  Clap

Went 0-4 this weekend. Fantastic.

Was thinking about going with the Jets and the ravens as well...sigh. At least that new england team lost.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

One semi-accurate Rodgers pass from at least getting one win this weekend.

I'm pissed at how poor the quality of these games have been. 4 games played and only one turned out to be worth watching even remotely. Even then the game was a pure slugfest with pitiful defense. Let's hope the next round is better, but I expect all the games 3 blowouts coming next week.

Given my predictive ability there should be some tight ones on the way though.
