Six songs in and this is already exceeding the (to be fair pretty low) expectations I had. Clever little album.

It's neck-and-neck with Sean Filkins' War & Peace as my disc of the year so far.

Six degrees of separation-type stuff going on with these new September releases.

Derek Sherinian released a new album this month, who used to play with Dream Theater; who also released a new one. Jordan Rudess of DT, is on Steven Wilson's new album Grace For Drowning. Steve Wilson also mixed the new Opeth album. Theo Travis plays sax on Steve Wilson's new one, as well as on The Tangent's new album. The Tangent has featured Roine Stolt of The Flower Kings in the past, who is also in Transatlantic which also features Mike Portnoy, who used to play in Dream Theater.

It was the 20th anniversary of Miles' death yesterday.
