Well, I honestly think the Eagles will put alot of pressure on Warner... could work two ways, he gets beat up loses heart or he finds Fitzgerald deep making the Eagles come out of their blitz packages...  Think it's up to the PHI defense if they take Arizona and whoever wins the AFC...

If PIT wins I would suspect they will take it, I feel if BAL wins (which I believe they have a good chance because they match up well vs. PIT) I'm alot less certain...

I have no idea what to expect from the eagles cardinals game because both teams had games not too long ago where they looked absolutely terrible.  Given recent performance I would expect it to be a good game, but I could also see either team getting blown out.

I think the steelers will probably win the afc, though im rooting for baltimore

Yeah, Eagles and Cardinals have both been WAY too hot-and-cold to predict that game.

As far as Baltimore vs. Steelers, I'm torn as those are my two favorite AFC teams (and not coincidentally my favorite defenses).  I can picture Baltimore winning simply by virtue of their defense being big-play oriented; they may give up a few more yards per game than the Steelers, but they force more three-and-outs, take the ball away more often, and put more points on the board for their team than the Steelers' defense.

Also, the rumors that Ravens D coordinator Rex Ryan (yes, Buddy's son) is going to the Jets next year are killing me.  Ryan's awesomely insane defensive strategy has had me grinning ear-to-ear every time I've gotten to watch the Ravens this season, but I'm not sure I'll be able to root for him as a Jet.  Ah well, the Jets probably don't have a good enough secondary for the team to be able to run the awesome seven- and eight-men rushes Ryan was blowing my mind with this season; Reed, Rolle, and Washington are as good as any three-man combo in the league for running bare-bones three-man pass coverage.

I hope the ravens dont lose him, I was rooting for the jets this year but only because the packers are my team and the trade for favre was contingent on how well they did.  You are right though about the ravens' big play potential giving them a good shot.

If the Eagles are going to beat the Giants....they better go all the way to the Super Bowl.
Because after that crushing loss, if the Eagles lose in the next round I'll be pissed.

I say we give the Lombardi to the Steelers now and skip all the hoopla.  The Cards are a cute Cinderella story after beating the Philly chokers but they don't have a chance against Pittsburgh.  Could be ugly.  Springsteen at halftime will be the main attraction for me.

You're pissed.

And so am I, the Eagles D just really couldn't get it done yesterday.

Arizona could make a game of it against Pittsburgh, though, but I think in the end the Steelers take it.

As a Bengals fan (No, I'm not asking for sympathy. What are you talking about?Embarrassed) I am obligated to root against the Steelers, the organization, the fans, the city of Pittsburgh....well, you get the point.LOL So of course I'd prefer to see the Cardinals win, but against that Steelers D, I honestly don't see it happening.

Don't be too upset, I thought it was the Eagles defense that kept them in the game.. Cardinals were just ready for Jimmy Johnson's blitzes and took advantage of them in the first half.  They mentioned that the Arizona Cardinal coaches study the PHI eagles DC blitz packages every year.. they just out prepared the eagles, the big difference of the game was the early PHI drives that only resulted in FGs... Eagles had a better Red Zone offense they'd be in Tampa now...

Alot of talk about Whisenhunt being familar with PIT defense, can he game plan against his former team well enough to get a win?  Worked for Gruden in SB XXXVII....

Don't worry anyone, the NFL powers that be will not let the Cardinals win this.  They'll get a jobbing at the hands of the refs, just as the Seahawks did three years ago.  So enjoy the Steelers' victory.  Yes I'm still bitter Big smile

I've seen every Super Bowl since SB X, and that interception at the end of the half could've been the freakiest play that I've ever seen in a Super Bowl.
