I've never encountered an LP sized disc that was 45 speed.  Of note, I did encounter the Monty Python Matching Tie and Handkerchief album that had one side with two sets of grooves running parllel, so depending on how your needle landed you'd get one set of material or the other.  I didn't know this in advance and I don't think people were forewarned when it was realeased so it made for a great practical joke.

And I saw this happen to the Monty Python album on live radio ... it was hilarious, and I went out and immediately bought the album ... had to have that one!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Definitely not prog rock and while it should be played at 45, being a single and all, the flipside of Madness' Our House is a number called Walking With Mr Wheeze - which plays superbly and surprisingly well at 33.

Good fun.Wink

Yes, and the entry points to the 2 grooves are not equally spaced, so you've more chance of getting one groove than the other. I thought I was going mad when I played it and got something completely different to what I was used to from the first 4 or 5 plays.

The Cocteau Twins’ “Victorialand” I initially played at 33, and not being especially familiar with the band’s output as a whole at that point, it took a couple more plays before I noticed it was supposed to be played at 45. I thought the vocals sounded a little too surreal, even for them, though actually some tracks sound as good if not better at 45.
