Do you know if there is a  game between Kcity and Detroit somewhere in the schedule to make one happy at least??/Smile

No such luck; Detroit has one of the hardest schedules in football left.

They have an excellent chance at a bagel for the year, no question about it.

I remember a game earlier this year, the ref asked the players if they had any questions before the OT coin toss, and a player on the Raiders asked "Is dere a two minute warning?" and I laughed that he didn't know the rule.  That's nothing compared to half the Eagles not knowing games end in ties.  The best was the guy who was saying that he and another player were unsure about ties during the overtime period, so they asked the trainer, who set them straight.  It's pretty scary that the trainers know the rules better than the veteran players do.

I was just stunned at this.  McNabb is my age - he doesn't remember any ties?  They're rare but they do occur, how did he think they happened?  In fact he should remember 1997, always sticks out in my mind because there were ties in back to back weeks (Eagles-Ravens, then Giants-Skins).

I'm just amazed that he doesn't remember the one in 2002--if I were an NFL player, I'd be following the standings--and every game--pretty closely.  The fact that a tie occurred--and showed up in the standings every single week thereafter--without him noticing is pretty incredible.

The Lions' game was blacked out yesterday due to lack of interest.  I happened to be in the car so I turned the game on on the radio.  They were actually beating the TB Bucs 17-0 in the first quarter.  I kind of laughed and thought that this team can't do anything right.  You might as well make the record books and go 0 and 16.  No need to win 1 game now, and lose the first round pick to the Chiefs or something like that.  (Not that they won't screw that pick up anyways, but...)   Of course, the second thought was that it was way to early and that they would probably find a way to lose anyhow.  At any rate, I left the car to go and eat, and when I got back in to the car the first thing that I heard was that Tampa led 21 to 17 at the half.  I got a pretty good belly laugh out of that one.  It is a shame though that the Titans lost to the Jets, because I was really looking forward to 11-0 versus 0-11 for Thanksgiving.

I really like the Lions chances for 0-16 this year - and I thought Miami last year was the best contender I've seen for that.

The 5 remaining games are Tennessee, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New Orleans, and Green Bay in Green Bay.  They might be able to beat Minnesota or New Orleans but I certainly am not going to hold my breath.  Best chance is probably Minnesota at home.  But maybe if Tennessee eats their turkey dinner before the game, that chemical that makes you sleepy might kick in, and the Lions might have a chance.  Er, probably not.

It seems like I'm the only guy on the site whose team is actually winning.

10-1, baby!  I'm feelin' back-to-back Super Bowls.

Yep. Looks like he's out for a minimum of two weeks....and that's not including what the league will add onto it.

Big test for Tampa today...  If we win I can see us taking the division, if we lose.. well we might get lucky and win the division.  I prefer the former....

Raining in Tampa, though it just started, field should still be good.

Or what the government adds to it....he didn't have a permit for the gun, and he also didn't have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, so that's a double-whammy illegal weapons offense. Honestly, the Giants have so many interchangeable receivers that they don't need him.  Today the G-Men threw for over 300 yards--first time they've gotten 300 in the air this year--without their star receiver.  He's an idiot whose much better at hurting himself and his team than he is at playing football.  I hope the Giants cut him and forget he ever existed.

Sounds like they wanted to help him, but after refusing to talk to the team, looks like he will be cut/let go...  Giants are looking like the team to beat that's for sure...

What scares me is that middle linebacker Antonio Pierce was involved as well; he tried to dispose of the gun.  Pierce is the leader of the Giants D and it'll really hurt to lose him.

Also, anybody who carries around a handgun with the safety off fully deserves to shoot themselves in the leg.

Just seen the news confirming that next year's international series game at Wembley is Tampa vs New England. That should be an interesting game. Big smile

Someone was telling me today that in NYC, concealed weapon is an automatic 3 year sentence?  Any truth to this?
