For sure! Douglas Adams is great stuff!
Good one, and good to see you here, Will!
How about this one: "Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogroves, and the momes rath outgrabe."

Why men shouldn't take phone messages:
"Dear, the Gyna Colleges called, and said that the Pabst Beer was fine. I didn't think you liked beer."

Hint: I didn't write it, it's well over 100 years old, and the author's real name was Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson.
What was his famous pen-name

Well Mr. Rideout, as the famous Lewis Carroll once wrote:
"Life, what is it but a dream?"
But then he also wrote:
"If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there.".....
The original version of "No matter where you go, there you are."

Jabberwocky
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
Lewis Carroll!!!
One of my favs, Sir Peter.

"White rabbit" by Jefferson's Airplane, found on their surrealistic pillow (I want one!)
That is obviously a referece to Alice In Wonderland and/or LSD

An exemplary one, Sir Dan of Bo! Well done!
Now, how about the Stranglers for a Carroll connection?

Correct on both counts, Sir Glass!
(And not just LSD, either.)

There's plenty of evidence to suggest so, Danbo (unripe ones, anyway), but the academic jury is still out on that one.... (I'm inclined to agree with the "yea" side.)
Still, that is not the song I meant. I want an irrefutable Carroll reference from the Stranglers.
