The St. Louis rams defense looks awesome on paper. Should give Seattle and SF fits for years to come. I believe Aaron Donald was one of the best defensive players available. Hate to see the Rams get him. |
I thought it was curious that they didn't immediately go for their secondary. That's where they need the biggest improvement defensively. I guess they're figuring with their front 4, they're going to bring enough pressure that most passing attacks won't be an issue. We'll see though. |
I think Denver saw yesterday.

Carolina lost because of a missed field goal.

I have a pretty good idea how that is going to turn out. The Lions are having a good season, but they aren't ready for the top tier yet.

Pack is playing Super Bowl caliber football right now. Not looking forward to them in a couple weeks.
But first, the Pat/Scott Bowl ;)

I expected a loss, so not too disappointed, but the officiating left a lot to be desired yesterday. They blew a number of calls, and all seemed to go in favor of the Cardinals. The worst, of course, being the punt return that was brought back to the Cardinals 46 yard line that after a challenge was moved to the 1-yard line. The FOX rules expert Pereira believed that they totally blew that call. I didn't see it but I had the radio on, and the Lions announcers were quoting the Three Stooges in their description of the officials.

packers on fire again in 1 half, yes it's not right. Did not see giant game, but 5 picks? Yikes... Saints look awful, Brees does not look right or as accurate as usual. 4 and 6 falcons lead the division lol!

St Louis has a great defense, but holding Denver to 7???
Rodgers and co are really in sync, and explosive. It's not even right watching Green Bay play!

Holy sh*t, that was truly one of the worst things I've ever seen lol what's amazing is: final score was 16-10! Not sure what's more amazing, that we were in that game ALL f**king day and couldn't manage to find the one TD needed to take the lead, or how terrible the Giants look.
Our defense is crap, I'll be honest that was more about Kaep having a very bad day. They are just awful though. This O line that was looking so great has fallen apart. Eli pressured all day and the run game was truly painful. That said, the play calling was garbage!!! I am sorry, but there's keeping the defense honest, then there's running every first 2 downs with 0 success. We had that surprise on side recovery and the ensuing drive was flat. Beckham has a HUGE catch, we're on the 4 yard line and do the SAME play three times in a row. More critical drops, blown routes, just ugh.
I guess just a conflicted feeling of WOW he had no right being near that close a game, and WOW we couldn't capitalize once.

I watched the Giants/SF game and man it was frustrating that the Giants offence just couldn't get it done, especially first and goal on the four yard line late in the game.

Yeah I know Foles has been more of a mixed bag but hey, he was gunna come back to reality...couldn't pull another 27/2! Also the loss of D Jax had to have hurt a bit and I know the line has been a bit hurt. I just find it funny, he's still young, his 2013 was so epic that just a "good" year looks bad now and makes em question
Well, I don't go to games as much anymore, but I will make the trek to see the 49ers in town. It's gunna be cold...and I've been tired all weekend. They better at least make this a game, otherwise I'll be pissed (and already prepping for disaster!) Even though this is Aldon Smith's first game back...it's the Giants, somehow he'll have 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a pick 6 against us

How's the media been there? I hear there's been rumblings for making Sanchez "the starter" and dropping if not trading (!?) Foles. LOL I know it's all about what have you done for me lately, but 2 solid games have made people forget about 27TDs/2 picks, 10-6 and a division title already? |
I haven't heard anybody calling for Foles to be traded or let go, but the fact of the matter is his year to date was a mixed bag - he could make some really nice throws and nice plays, but he was turning the ball over a lot (something like 9 picks on the year), and he would often hold onto the ball way too long and take sacks. People just feel that the Eagles aren't getting too much of a downgrade (or any at all, maybe) with Sanchez; they can still be successful, but only time will tell.

Yeah, that took me by surprise, I didn't think Barwin was thaaat good, but it turns out he is, least this year. That will be a sweet game, as always I question how good the Pack's defense is but Rodgers is on fire, I think even better than 2011 form.

Our schedule isn't bad, SF is beatable, Jax, Tennessee, Washington, St Louis. Those could easily be 4 wins but I don't know now shame is sneak in one surprise and Giants can hit 8-8 but realistically we'll be like 6-10 ha

Barwin is just freaking blowing up this year. His play has been terrific.
The Eagles-Packers game should be very interesting, to me I actually think the Packers are the top NFC team right now.
Pats have a pretty brutal schedule ahead of them as well: Colts, Lions, Packers, Chargers, and I'll now put down the Dolphins as a tough out.

Miami is looking like a good team, like the defense and for a guy that played WR until his SR year of college...Tannehill is pretty legit. Imagine if he had more weapons!
Philly has 2 pass rushers in the top 12... I feel less bad now about how royally they destroyed our o line Also in limited snaps Ayers is the 2nd best pass rusher?? Play him more Giants!

Yup! The Jets really did ruin him it seems, not just mentally but their 1940s mentality held back his physical development. I can't lie, it's a bit funny the fans are raging. Also they drafted Geno to replace him ultimately, (another bad move itself) which has flopped and they need another QB now. This is gunna be like 4-5 years of setback due to the talent they never replaced/killing Mark's career.
What is not funny, Giants have more injuries. Hillis, the RB we barely used but was more productive than Williams, and one our LBs. Yikes, this is brutal. We might as well play our rookies. We are hurting at D line, LB and secondary but we drafted a DT, LB, S and CB this year so why not try em? A chance to play real, meaningful games and get em experience. It may go badly but hey, this year is lost already.

Meh. Oakland isn't the worst team in the NFL, somehow.
