Soooooo WVU-Clemson. I missed most of it, but I tuned it to the score 70-20.
WTF!?

I heard today apparently it was a back and forth game with Clemson going to take the lead, when they fumbled and apparently the game went with it. Wish I saw it now! Musta been one helluva beat down. Especially to have it even and just let it slip so bad!

21-17, 2nd quarter. Clemson was about to take it in for a touchdown (like, the 1-inch line). Somehow, the ball came out, the defense ran it back for a touchdown, and Clemson put on their pouty faces and called it a night. The Mountaineers had put up 49 by the half and could easily have dropped triple digits on them.

There have been some good bowl games (MSU-UGA was a great game) and some really odd ones. Did anyone notice that in both the Stanford-OKST and Michigan-VT games, the team that dominated the game lost in overtime? Stanford controlled the ball 70% of the time and outgained Okie State by almost 200 yards, but they lost. Virginia Tech more than doubled the total yardage of their opponent. It has been a crazy bowl season, for sure.

Was that WV/Clem game a record of any kind?

Well, sounds official.

Patriots OC will be the next Penn State coach.
Glad they are going outside...too many fellow Lions really wanted it to be an insider and gotta give it up people. You ever want the name to recover? LOL

I'm sure people will say how great a job he's done in the NFL but a bit easy when you have Tom Brady...I could be that OC. Yo tom, throw the ball and well ya got this...
Hey if he can fix our woeful offense power to him! Like get some recruits...we already lost a bunch including the better of our QBs :(

Yeah, WVU put up record points in regulation, I think. Certainly a bowl record in the first half (49).

Well the SEC National Championship Game is finally here.

Already pointless to play since there's a significant movement of "even if LSU loses they are the true champions" so as usual, I'll ignore all the college bullsh*t and enjoy the game. I expect a good one.
I guess the whole 8 ranked teams thing and beating 'Bama at Bama do make a strong case for LSU being the true best team.

But hey, even if they are gotta win the game. I'd hate a split decision about the title, what a mess!
I like Alabama anyway, so hoping they win regardless of the ugly outcome that may come from it.

I'm laughing pretty hard at this point.
Roll Tide.  Roll right to a 3-4 way shared national championship.  Roll right to invalidating Division 1's bullsh*t championship system once and for all.

Time always wins.

Gawd. Worst quarterback play I have seen in a bowl game... ever. Looked like Podunk High School's backup quarterback. Jordan Jefforson is absolute sh*t. He was awful in the Georgia game and is absolutely awful today. Don't know what the f**k Miles was thinking keeping him in. Not like you're worried about that sack of sh*t head-stomper's confidence anyway.

Well...everyone said LSU is the real champ, even if they lose, unless Bama was to win big.
IDK if it's big but a shutout????
21-0

Well idc what the coaches and computers will say, they are the unquestioned 2011 champs in my book!

Total epic failure by LSU coaching staff.....they were obviously ill-prepared for this game. I don't know if I have ever seen such a team come out so flat and stay flat all game long.
LSU, Alabama are not known for QB's.....schools like that produce linemen, LB and RB. But jeezz why not pull Jefferson and give Lee a chance.

Congrats to Alabama......it didn't mean anything but I had to just LOL when Ala missed the PAT on their only TD......Certainly they need to look for a new kicker.

I don't get it either. Jordan Jefferson passed for 80 total yards in the SEC championship and the BCS game. He has a college QB rating of something like 80. Jarrett Lee has twice as many pass yards on the season. Jefferson is not gaining that much on the ground, and his ineptitude with the option actually cost the team yards. We all expected to see Lee in the first half after Jefferson got crushed (again). No dice. Second half, still no Lee. Fourth quarter? Jefferson trots back out on the field. The crowd was booing Jefferson. I just don't understand what Miles was thinking keeping Jefferson in as he cost the team more yards than he gained. 14 carries for 15 yards, but lost at least as many screwing up the option by pitching way, way, way too early. He passed 17 times for 53 yards. He was screwing absolutely everything up. Over and over and over. I just don't understand why Lee was stuck on the sidelines watching that clusterf**k.

WTF? Just heard on ESPN "according to sources" .... "a playoff is coming" and "it will get done"
If this is serious, it would not only be fair and end the constant questioning and moaning "waaah we shoulda made it and woulda played them better" but maybe take the complete joke that is college ball and at least move it to a new track.
Not that some issues like the under the table paying of players, shady recruiting, and players getting free tickets to graduation without trying will go away but it'll help a bit.

Also end the questioning of who shoulda won, and these 12-0 or 13-0 teams that beat up on large high schools would have to prove they actually do deserve to play the title game.

Reminds eerily of Bear Bryant.
