Very soothing quiet jazz album

I got one of those, very nice.  Have you heard Vapor Drawings?
I also have his Miles tribute Miles Remembered, Castalia, Mark Isham, Tibet, We Begin with Art Lande.  Good stuff.Big smileSax man
no, I haven't heard vapor drawings, I heard one or more tracks from the other albums you listed, they were all very good. I also know his collaboration with David Torn on 'cloud about mercury' and with David Sylvian of course.

Cloud is a really nice album, I'm drawing a blank on Mark's Sylvian connection, I only have three of David's albums.  Isham did the soundtrack for a movie called Never Cry Wolf, which is where I came to know of him.  Vapor Drawings is very close to being the soundtrack.

I'm doing some Happy Rhodes at the moment...

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I discovered Mark Isham with the David Torn album. Then I was amazed by his contribution to Patrick O'Hearn's albums (O'Hearn is, IMHO, the best artist signed on Peter Baumann's label, Private).

And if you like Happy Rhodes, I encourage you to dig Petra Haden with Miss Murgatroid (a violi/accordion duet with eerie vocals).
