^But here on PA 10 people gave a one star rating. Even the second album of Torman Maxt (which I gave a 2) have a better rating. Damn, Even St. Anger have a better rating!

But that track I heard is really bad. |

Listened to nearly the whole album now and I think it is rather good actually. Don't understand the hate.

I did the same last night, and I rather like it. I guess people donīt like the vocals, but prefer the likes of Eloy and Dream Theater- where the guys can really sing I commend both Lou and Metallica for having the balls to do this, and personally I am putting this on my "to get" list. |

Pretty much what I'm guessing, I don't know why people have such a hard time with spoken word, sometimes it's more emotional than singing, as in Reed's case. Man, it shows the blatant narrow-mindedness of some people. EDIT: My review got it above Load, Reload and St. Anger. Where it deserves to be. Edited by The Truth - November 06 2011 at 12:55 |

What's more blatantly narrow-minded is believing that just because someone doesn't like this album means that they're narrow-minded. |

I'll soon put that right when I do my 5 star review. Well perhaps not but i think a 3 star review will be forthcoming.

I wouldn't call a food critic narrow-minded if he ate a meal of dog feces and decided that it tasted terrible. I wouldn't say, "Oh, you're just not used to eating sh*t yet. You're not giving it a fair chance!" Some stuff just tastes like sh*t for some people. I won't give it 1 star on my review, but I most certainly won't be giving it 4 or 5, either. It'll probably get 2 stars from me because that's what I see it as: something fans of Lou Reed or Metallica need to at least listen to, but not something that I view as pleasant listening material. |

My point was that you can not like an album but that alone certainly does not warrant a single star. You have to look at other factors, like artistic significance, how well it's played, etc. Something can be brilliant and still not appeal to certain people, that's my point. Obviously my star scale is different than yours and that's alright. And furthermore, narrow-mindedness is saying "I listened to it for twenty seconds and hate it." That's not giving an honest listen. Narrow-mindedness has nothing to do with not liking material, it's not liking material and instantly labeling it sh*t. Edited by The Truth - November 06 2011 at 16:03 |

I can definitely agree that 20 seconds of listening could fall under the "narrow-minded" label, but then again, I can listen to N'Sync or Gucci Mane for 20 seconds and pretty much know that I'm not going to like it. I just wanted to make sure that not everyone giving it 1 or 2 stars was being labeled "narrow-minded" because there's definitely a legitimate argument for this album being low-rated, based on my first two full listens. |

Alright, glad we got that clear. I don't like being called narrow-minded at all, if I came across as a bit of an ass, I apologize. |
