Don't be, I have nothing against DT, or their fans, I'm pretty ambivalent twards them thouth I do ocassionaly like their side projects, its just that if they get through the next round they will go all the way for sure, and ive seen that happen with them too many times on this site, and I'm pretty sure Tool could stop them by grabbing some prog-metal swing votes as well as getting the anti-DT votes and those of fans of more atmospheric sounds.

I look up, I'm almost blinded

by the warmth of what's inside me

and the taste that's in my soul,

but I'm dead inside as I stand alone...

How could anyone vote against DT? They are the gods of prog metal, they change time signature every few bars, and their vocalist is the most accomplished psuedo-classical singer in modern compositional music. Indeed, voting against DT is like voting against god. It's a logical fallacy which will incur the wrath of legions of followers. Except god can't sweep pick arpeggios like Petrucci.

DT has an impressive amount of haters (not proud of it but me included) so y'know it can happen. I'd choose Tool, who I don't like, but really don't hate over DT any day.

Tool. Lateralus and Aenima are two of the best albums in the past 20 years.

I'm no tool so I decided to vote my own way,...

... which is, of course, for the latter. :)

Perhaps I will vote if people post youtube tracks of both in this poll and will vote purely based on those.

Here's the Tool track with most views (ca 15 000 000) on youtube:

and the Kayo Dot with most views (ca 33000)

Now vote (for the latter).
