That's what I'm noticing...and enjoying!  Listening for the first time (via Spotify), glad to be doing so.

If you like that stuff, you should definitely check out Le Berceau de Cristal by Ash ra Tempel. It´s basically Manuel with a partner, but the improvs along with the guitars (and synthesized guitars like you wouldn´t believe) makes this record feel like floating. I wrote a review on his Early water album (with Hoenig) and there´s a distinctive watery sound to it - but it originated with Berceau. Chill-out contemplative music at its finest.

Sounds good, I'll check it out when I can...unfortunately, there's no Göttsching or Ash Ra Tempel on Spotify, so it'll have to wait for the moment. Cry  Ah well, I'm finding plenty of gems to check out as it is.

Have you actually been to the city?  (I haven't BTW)
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I like Talk quite a bit myself.  How is Ghost?  I have a hard time getting into Devy.  I haved Addicted and Deconstruction, but haven't got Ghost yet.  I didn't really care for Deconstruction.  For some reason or another, a 10+ minute song about masturbating doesn't have much appeal to me. LOL

I actually have no idea what The Might Masturbator is actually about but I don't think it's just masturbation. XD (I also think? that masturbator might be a reference to masturbatory guitar solos, but don't quote me on that).

Ghost - complete opposite of Deconstruction. Super chilled out relaxed album, the perfect thing to just chill out to. I love them both but I think I love Ghost a bit more (even though Might Masturbator is my favorite track from the two! )

Check out this track, if you like it, you'll like the album, it's all along the same general lines:
