I've come to love this band. I never really gave them a chance, being that they were always linked to the "emo" label, which usually all sounds the same. But, these guys are something else.

I really like the new cover btw- reindeer with several rows of teeth like a shark - carved in oak-tree perhaps?

I've only listened to it once but first impressions are very good.Mind you,I have been a big Mastodon fan since Remission and have liked how they have progressed and grown with each album. This album is in the same vein as CtS but the songs are shorter and more concise.

Ok thanks! I was just interested if they still were exploring the "new" style - and it seems they are.

It´s been a while since I last listened to this one. Minimalism but without stereo effects as I remember, but it does contain Oh, OdessaBig smile
Do you have Sowiesoso? Brilliant album that one.

I was listening to it for first time on Spotify.  It is minimal but very enjoyable Then listened to Qua which was pretty good and finally I did start listening to Sowiesoso as well but I had had enough by that time - I was impressed enough to go back again probably tomorrow.

^Then go for SowiesosoWink
I´m pretty sure it blew Eno´s mind as well, because he basically made it his "blueprint" for about 6-7 albums - especially so after he worked with Cluster in 77.

That is a fantastic cover, I'll be checking that out tonight.

Amazing! I'm loving every second of this album, checked out a bit of Carving Desert Canyons too, they are both phenomenal. Great band.
