...and what about the Renault 14, nicknamed "the Peer" because of her
shape? (1976)

However, my favourite Italian auto designer is Giorgetto Giugiaro:
File:VW Scirocco front 20080703.jpg

I've owned two Scirocco's and I love them (my first one looked identical to the one pictured, the second was the Scala that I changed the suspension on so it could corner at speed without throwing you across the road) - if they still made them (and not that nasty "hairdresser's" thing they call a scirocco today) and put the VR6 engine in it I'd swap it for my current coupé (Tiburon) without hesitation.

Yeah, I don't know what you guys were trying to tell Henry, he was trying to tell you what we pay per liter in the US.  And he was right.

In my area we pay roughly $1 per liter, or 0.6243 GBP/liter at current exchange rates.

I still don't understand how £1.34 per litre means $0.91 per litre.

It doesn't.  £1.34 per litre is what Dean, Jim, and our other UK friends pay.  Not what we pay in the USA.

That's what I understood too. Maybe his phrasing wasn't the best, but it looks like what Henry's saying is that the £1.34 price means 0.91 when converted in dollars.

Well, he responded directly to Jim's question as to what folks were paying for gas/petrol.

I think I can see the confusion because he mentioned conversion - in the US we pay per gallon, so he meant he had to convert gallons to liters to get the price per liter here in the US.
