A multi-course Indian feast!
Yum -- food to die for!
Second place would be West Indian. Mmmmm -- jerk!
I made mulligitawny last night (a tres tasty curry chicken soup), and tonight it's to be tandoori chicken and Spanish potatoes. I like spice!

Hey Peter! I had Indian tonight.....a fish with homemade cheese in a creamy sauce with cashews and raisins....that might sound awful but it was quite good. I've found the Indian restaurants around here are pretty good with fish (salmon), but they overcook the chicken and shrimp, the chicken is always dry and tough, the shrimp rubbery. Yet aside from their handling of those two items, the rest of their food is pretty awesome. I just stick with fish or go vegetarian there.

When I do Indian it's lamb for me. And lots of naan obviously.

Hmmm....I haven't tried lamb yet, maybe I should. And yes, naan is amazing when warm and fresh. (We need a mouth-gorging emoticon for this thread)

Finnster, what I really like in a good Indian restaurant is a buffet: a little of this, a little of that -- a little of EVERYTHING!
My wife & I were in a good Indian eatery in Toronto a while back. When we asked for one of the dishes to be hot (spicy), the sari-clad waitress asked "Canadian hot, or Indian hot?" We said "Let's try Indian hot." Man, that WAS haaaawt! The accompaning cold beer was most welcome -- and needed!
And yeah, Egalitarian, fresh-baked naan to stog it all down with and wipe the plate clean afterwards is awesome.
My wife cooks great indian food, as well -- she can whip up a five-courser, replete with raita, in no time flat! My teenaged daughter, meanwhile, made some fine chana the other day -- jerk flavour!
My "from scratch" vindaloo though, with the spices toasted and individually blended (no curry powder, but the individual ingredients, plus more) is amazing, if I may be so immodest -- if you can wait for it.

A good Vindaloo is about the best thing you'll ever eat. You must make you wife happy cooking that up.

Oh yes, Balance ol' boy -- we're all happy when that one is served up! Often my wife will make another Indian dish or two to accompany it. And the rice is always basmati, naturally. So much more fragrant and tasty than everyday white rice! We buy it by the sack.

Turmuric (a key spice in curry) has strong anti-carcinogenic properties, they now say. I have often found that spicy food will kill a cold -- a real shot in the arm for the immune system.
I hear that spicing up meat like that originated in hot countries as a way of preserving meat, masking the taste/odor of meat which was going "off," etc. (So much healthier that our western salting and pickling.) In the West indies, lime juice is used to wash raw chicken pre-cooking -- the citric acid is not only a tenderizer (and tasty), but also a natural disinfectant, killing salmonella and other nasties -- and thus the lime slice in the neck of your Mexico City-made Corona.

^^ I like Basmati too, it's the only rice I make now, its longer split grain cooks-up much better than normal 'long grain' rice which these days in California is more like the crunchy pearl variety
for me; Southern fried chicken with coleslaw, beans, biscuits&honey, and plenty of hot sauce

A selection of spicy Indian foods as a last meal...? Hopefully not followed by cremation
