Edward Woodward Dies
The Wicker Man actor Edward Woodward has died in hospital. He was 79. The veteran actor was suffering from pneumonia and other illnesses while in Royal Cornwall Hospital. This is sad news.....
My girlfriend watches a lot of British series and films, so I saw his fave periodically
Definitely his role in thye Wicker Man must be one of his better.

Damned shame - another great British actor gone & the only one who could stand up to a cross dressing Christopher Lee...

Such a fine actor, even when in dreck such as "The Equalizer".
Special kudos for "Breaker Morant". Simply sublime, in a sublime film.

Breaker Morant is one of my favourite films of all time. Simply amazing performance. I read the book Scapegoats Of An Empire by Lt. George Witten shortly after seeing the film and Woodward nailed it.
RIP
