I'll bump an old thread with some news for fans of Blackwater Park Wink Opeth are planning to play the entire album five times next year, once in Sweden, Germany and England and twice in USA. Those will apparently be pretty much their only gigs next year, the rest of the year is spent preparing new material for the next Opeth album, and there's a possibility of the Åkerfeldt & Wilson & Portnoy project materializing finally (in reality an Åkerfeldt & Wilson project with Portnoy just providing drum tracks, Å says) and perhaps some work on the Å solo album as well.

This piece of goodies was brought to you exclusively by Soundi: http://www.soundi.fi/node/9792/Opeth/suunnittelee/Blackwater/Park/-keikkoja

Mikael and SW would be amazing... I'd easily take Gavin Harrison over Portnoy, though.

I got into Opeth about a bit less than a month ago, and I really love their music. I used to really dislike the growls, but because of Opeth I now really dig them! I've got three albums so far, Ghost Reveries, Blackwater Park and Deliverance, though I'm planning to buy much more as soon as possible. Blackwater Park is good I think, but overrated, while I really think Deliverance's rating on this site is  bit low. I can see the weak points of the album, but I think songs like Master's Aprentices and Deliverance are great. Ghost Reveries was the album I started with, and I think that it is a true masterpiece, it's stunning. I'm planning to pick up Still Life soon, as what I've heard from it sounds fantastic.
