It just seems as though if a ground can't cause a fumble, it also shouldn't be able to cause an incompletion in a case such as this where the receiver got both feet on the ground before he was tackled and hit the ground which then dislodged the ball. |
They explained later (which I think is an excuse) is they only had the back angle which looks like it admittedly.. I really don't understand how that is even possible, thought they had access to all angles, think its BS myself...
I loved how Oakland and Buffalo played Monday Night, they just need to learn how to "finish"...

^ I think what Steve young said was this was the angle they chose to make their decision. Not the front angle that the on field ref's perspective had. If that is the truth they should be fired but because its the Raiders the press won't push the issue like if it was a Dallas, NY or NE.

The worst thing about Buffalo is the team didn't really blow it. It was all that one guy deciding to take the return. I guess the D didn't step up but the Pats going into a quick offense...I don't know if anyone can stop that. Related note: Apparently McKelvin has been getting his lawn vandalized for his stupidity. He claims the fans are "great" though and he wants to move on. Do we know anyone here who lives in Buffalo?

Watching the Pats and Jets right now, but can't wait for tonight:
Giants and Cowboys in prime time! GO G-MEN!
EDIT: The Pats lose! The Jets were bringing some insane pressure all game long. Every play whether it was just 4 guys or 7, their D was just ruining the Pats.
On that note: The Bengals beat the Packers 31 - 24 Defense has always been there problem, but Antwan Odom recorded FIVE sacks, and they have big guy Maualuga in the middle too.

Loved the Ravens win against the Chargers but am worried about the Ravens D.Rivers was really able to air it out today, throwing for over 400 yards.Their tall receivers really tore our secondary up.I know we are killer against the run but we need a little more balance between run defense and pass defense.
That being said, the Chargers touchdowns were results of long passes. They totally sucked in the red zone, but are also working with a banged up and inexperienced O-line.
It's nice to finally have an offense capable of putting points on the board.Give Flacco a few more years and he will be one of the NFL's elite QB's.

I wouldn't be too worried Jody, Chargers are a tough lot to take down.. they can make super defenses look weak.. I'm pulling for Baltimore in the AFC this year..
As far as the Bucs this year, I'm already looking forward to the draft in 2010 Many years I was a bit of draft nik by default, haha... Funny when the Bucs are not good I watch all the rest of the NFL as much as I can, and when they are winning I could care less what everyone else is doing, why is that?

Yea....that game was the epitome of the Cowboys. Leave it to them to play better the entire game, but blow it due to 4 turnovers and lose epically in your new $1 Billion stadium.... One thing Eli IS good at is the hurry up offense. Maybe the Giants should just run no huddle all the time Anyway, that was sad. The Giants did not play like their usual selves. They brought a lot of pressure, but couldn't stop the run for their lives, and they couldn't run the ball for sh*t. Not to mention they got some crazy lucky plays. Ah well, a win is a win and Eli has done it yet again. I really liked what I saw from Mario Manningham. Maybe he will be the replacement for Plaxico

Liking what I saw from Super Mario "Reefer Madness" Manningham. Steve "I'm better than the one who suckerpunches his teammates in training camp" Smith is looking really good too.

Yeah, Smith is good but seemed like just a slot guy to me. I don't know maybe he could be a #2 receiver. Manningham was a beast at Michigan, so hope it continues. 10 catches for 150 yards. So much for those big receivers the Giants drafted

Oh the Steelers game was a blow, yesterday a was celebrating my birthday (that is today BTW), and the Steelers lose, but really a stupid lose, i can't believe that Reed miss two field goals.
On the other way, finally Jets won over New England, i hope Mark Sanchez have a bright carreer

But more importantly is that the Cowboys lost.

I am VERY impressed with the Phins. I thought the Wildcat was dead, but they found a way to revive it.....f*ck the QB! Take out Chad and put in another Running Back But really, their O-Line has been DESTROYING the Colts. I can not believe some of that blocking. And Ronnie Brown getting 10 yards a carry out of the wildcat. I am becoming a Dolphins fan watching this game, I can't lie. I love physical football

I don't really follow the NFL. I prefer the college game.
That said, I'm still a huge football fan...
...but all I know is that the Saints are allegedly doing very well, and I only know that because it's all over the local paper.

Saints are looking very good right now.. Offense is on fire, and they have a defense to boot, they might have to fight Atlanta, but I fully expect them to win the division. They might be worth watching this year Tarquin!
