It's a cool system, but it requires one hell of a personnel set.  Plus, it's only a base coverage, so that's only what you run maybe half the time.  Maybe Detroit would be the number 1 ranked D if they never ran anything else?

Or maybe if Marinelli's daugher had married a better defensive co-ordinator. Wink

That was just an idiotic thing for that reporter to say.  That guy should not be allowed to ask questions to people anymore.

As an embarrassed Cowboys fan I can only apologize for the ugly performance they put on in Philly yesterday.  But for many of us that have been watching since the Cotton Bowl days it just confirmed (again) that the reigning emperor named Jones has no clothes.

Best of luck to the Eagles in the playoffs.  You deserve to be there.

At least we still have the WIngs.

Predicted Atlanta and Indy wins today.  Oops.

Really shocked about the Colts, thought they were going to the Super Bowl.

I wasn't expecting a Colts Super Bowl--they'd have to go through Pittsburgh and Tennessee, and I don't think that was gonna happen--but I certainly wasn't expecting the Chargers to knock them off.

No surprise that Kurt, the bubble boy, won in his dome in Arizona.  I WAS surprised, though, that Arizona put together a decent running game and played solid D.  I was expecting them to win by the skin of their teeth after scoring seven touchdowns in the air.

Dude up at work is a huge Cardinals fan. They may have won today, but see them falling next week. His giddiness is short lived.

I was startled and disappointed by the relative sanity shown by Rex Ryan (Ravens D coordinator, son of Bears D coordinator Buddy Ryan).  He usually runs these insane blitzes every third down in which he stands up seven or eight players on the line of scrimmage and drops out some arbitrary combination of them at the snap.  Against the Dolphins he played the way a normal coach would, just bringing an extra LB or two when he needed pressure.  The one time he ran an absurd blitz package--four blitzers through the right C gap--Ray Lewis broke up a handoff, leading to a 19 yard loss.  If they had played their usual brand of irresponsibly aggressive defense, they might not have shut the Dolphins out.

Anybody catch that block on Tavaris Jackson after he threw that first pick? Dude had him at least 3 feet off the ground and slammed him like a rag doll. It was AAWWEE-SOME!

I think Tavaris had a death wish on that play.  LOL

Not exactly optimistic about the Eagles chances next week, but I think they can give the Giants a good game.

And the cool thing is Fox showed the replay at least 5 times from every bone cracking angle. I was just cracking up.

The Vikes never had a chance with him at QB.  Gus isn't much better but Jackson has no business being a starting QB.

Also, it seems that with the "stunning" (pffft) defeat of the Colts that the analysists have found their new team to drool all over, enjoy it while it lasts Baltimore, your offense will have to play this week.

Chad took a pretty vicious block from Terrell Suggs during Ed Reed's pick-six.

And while that wasn't a legal block against Tavaris, he earned it when he initiated the contact.
