Miami Dolphins....4-4 so far.....Parcells magic is working...why not a winning season...this season?
Yes the Giants are impressive, especially considering the losses in the off season!

I think I'd rather spend an afternoon getting holes drilled in my head than to watch my Cowboys try to muster an offense without a quarterback. Congrats to the Giants but don't get too giddy over running up the score on a team that has no heart and no guts.

GIANTS DOMINATION! They flat-out embarrassed the 'Boys today. Great D and spectacular offense. They've got more run-pass balance than any Giants team I've ever seen before. I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say the G-Men are the best in the NFL right now.

Well, the Lions and Chiefs games both ended with both teams losing as expected. The big surprise was Cincy winning their first of the year over Jacksonville. The Lions play Jacksonville at home next week, so maybe there is hope.
I took Oakland as my upset special this week. Boy am I upset that I made that pick.

I stopped watching the Chiefs at halftime because I knew exactly what would happen. Up 24-3 at halftime and I still didn't feel good. Guess my instincts were dead on.

Of course, the flipside to that is that if you throw the ball low and short to a 6 foot 5 wide receiver who is double covered there is a really good chance that it will be intercepted at the goal line and brought back 30 or 40 yards.

It is the darnedest thing. Somebody on the Lions' coaching staff figured out that they have a 6 foot 5 inch wide receiver that they drafted in the first round last year and that maybe, just maybe, it might be a good idea to throw the football to him. Calvin Johnson has a career high with 8 catches today. This is something like his 20th game and this is the first time that he has 8 catches. How stupid do you have to be to not throw the ball to this guy? Yes, they had Roy Williams, but jeez you'd of thunk that he would have been even more wide open when they had two good receivers.

Strange things are afoot in NFL land today. The Lions lead 20 - 13 over da Bears, and they actually are looking pretty good doing it too. But to quote E-Dub "It is still early yet".

NY GIANT DOMINANCE! Went into Pittsburgh and beat 'em by a touchdown. Giants D has been incredible the last two weeks, with 4 interceptions, 5 sacks, and a safety yesterday. G MEN! |
With 5 Sacks to Big Ben, i think that they would win with a more relax advantage, but my Steelers make many mistake and the Giants have luck, unfortunately Parker was out and Santonio Holmes also, i wonder if the Steelers was with full force... probably beat the Giants easily.
The teams of the North Division are complicated to the Giants. see Cleveland.

Giants do look like they have the most consistently good play of all the teams out there, much to my chagrin.

Hmmmm, not sure yet. In all fairness to him, he hasn't had a consistent starter at QB since he got here (Trent Green practically getting beheaded against Cincinnati and the whole Cryole thing); however, I'm questioning his assessment of talent.
In all honesty, I think Carl Peterson is a bigger Achilles than anything. He's been here for 20 years and hasn't done anything. He's worn out his welcome and people around here are more eager to see him hit the bricks than Herm.
