I didn't see that Romo fumble, as I only watched the 1st half, but the officials totally blew his fumble earlier in the game when he was sacked. The Cardinals should have got the ball on the Cowboys' 30 yard line, but instead the Cowboys were able to punt it away. Supposedly, the officials had blown the whistle because his forward progress had been stopped, but that was a bunch of BS.

Giants didn't look like a professional football team at all today. Really f**king disappointing. Cleveland had an offensive penalty just about every set of downs and they still converted every time.

With Romo out for a while this just might be the wakeup call the 'Boys needed. Especially the defense because they can't count on the offense putting up a quick 24 in the first half and they need to get into shut down mode. You're right about the NFC East, though. All 4 teams have been reading too many accolades about themselves lately and there are hungry clubs out there who measure their progress by taking them on.

It appears that the'Boys missed their wakeup call as they are being thumped by the suddenly mighty St. Louis Rams.
If the Lions are going to win a game this season, today's game might very well be their best chance; and yet the 1 and 4 Houston Texans are favored by 9 1/2 points. I'm thinking that it is really going to be a miracle to not end the season 0 and 16.

Hardly a steamrolling when you go into the fourth quarter only up a touchdown......
'Niners kept the Giants surprisingly close with a field-goal block returned for a touchdown, but the Giants D is back with three takeaways, six sacks, a safety, and only 10 points allowed.

I think it's safe to assume that the Chiefs are the worst team in the NFL. Pathetic.

I was watching the Rays this evening, but the parts of the Sunday night game I caught showed that the Seahawks did little more than roll over and die. Wallace was 12/23 with 73 yards, a TD, and a pick. Three yards per attempt?! That's just pathetic.

Well the Rams did beat up a Romoless Cowboys team. The eastern side of Missouri is happy tonight.

Bucs time of possession was something crazy like 42 minutes. Good day in Tampa Bay sports. I had binoculars and was watching the Rays game in the club house boxes at Raymond James....
Go Rays!
If you caught the half time show, I was part of the orange outline of the left 4 ... The card tribute to Alstott. Miss that guy on the field.

Peter King of ESPN reports that Favre has been calling the Packers upcoming opponents and giving them tips and inside information because of his hatred to Ted Thompson.
I was listening to the Milwaukee radio station via the web and the two DJ's were absolutely livid. They say if this is true (and all reports are from credible sources), they don't believe he should be honored by having his number retired or his name on the ring of fame.

If that's true then it didn't help out Indy.

That's just childish. You retired. They moved on. He already showed this offseason that he can't handle that like a human being, but he needs to move on. They traded him, as he asked. Besides, I seriously doubt he could contribute anything meaningful. The playbook inevitably changed this year, and Favre has no idea what's in it. There's nothing he can tell a Packers opponent that they can't see on tape.

Nolan is out as 'Niners coach, and Mike Singletary is in. I believe this is an excellent move, as more Singletary is always a good thing

Speaking as one who lives in Seattle, the whole season is pathetic at this point. I think Wallace's QB rating in the first half was something around 8. Get out the proverbial fork; they are done. Not to use injuries as an excuse, but if you took the top 3 receivers from any team and broke their legs, and then had not only the second- but the third-string QB throwing to the subs you just got off the street, it wouldn't be pretty for any NFL team. See Dallas Cowboys for proof. Ah well they've had a fairly decent run.
