I can only imagine the amount of material there is when it comes to the subject of conspiracies within a government. But I happen to stumble over this one from a room mate of mine. He had an excerpt of the full video and just the small portion determined me to search out the full video, which took 2 seconds. After watching the video I was blown away at how much of my own beliefs were covered and reinforced within the video. The movie is divided into three parts. Part 1 - touches on religion, Part 2 - deals with the major events that brought the US into the great wars of WW1, WW2, Vietnam, and this one. And Part 3 - gets pretty insane with how the federal reserve is controlling the world. I'll believe all of the material, along with discovering all of the other sources to back up the info, until disproven otherwise.

Well, has anyone else put the time (roughly 2 hours) into this particular movie? It is definitely a worth while watch. Or any other past materials out there that blew you away when watching for the first time, that brought you into the the conspiracy world?

I saw this a while ago and really enjoyed it. I liked everything except the 9/11 conspiracy part. I'm not too keen on 9/11 conspiracies... but I am a big believer in government corruption, flaws of religion, and things like that. The movie is definitely worth checking out if you've ever been interested in that kind of stuff.

^ The 9/11 portion is touchy subject or something? Just curious.

In my experience there are three kinds of responses when the topic of conspiracies come up: going with the status quo on the topic (i.e. the media version of events), a knee jerk reaction to disbelieve them on principle (these people tend to be obsessed with science, not that that's a bad thing at all), and those who have a propensity to either believe, or at least be intrigued by them partially because of their mysterious and esoteric nature (with a dash of paranoiaLOL).

Personally I put myself in the last group, but only if the "conspiracy" seems plausible and has a clear motive.

A little off topic but people's responses always intrigue me when it comes to conspiracies.

Yeah, I watched that movie myself, after a friend recommended it to me. I was totally blown away and shocked. If all that is true, the near future will be pretty dark for us human beings. Still, Zeitgeist is not the most troubling free conspiracy movie I've seen. Recently, I've discovered this one, and the predictions are far worst. Watch it, and tell me what you think :

I think it's quite important to open ourselves to other explanations than what we see in the medias (which are controlled by people who have the power)

I've seen the religion part and about half of the 9/11 part. The religion segments were very eye opening. I was an atheist before watching Zeitgeist, but I found a lot of the stuff very interesting.

Amazing, just finished up with it. Except the very last 5 minutes didn't load for some reason. It's trully unbelievable how everything ties into one another. Yet when most people view the video they express how the concept of the video is "eye opening" they completely throw it from their mind and continue on with their controlled lives later on. Does everone hope that what is contained in this material isn't true and hopes for their "comfortable lives" to go on?

Same here. IF you haven't seen the third part than I'd highly recommend it since it concludes with mentioning the ultimate goals of those "behind the curtains."

Most people are lazy. They watch one video on a conspiracy, read a book on the subject and believe they hold all the truth of the world after their "exstensive" studies in the matter. Then they try to spread the ideas to others to soon find out that they can't defend their brand new beliefs due to lack of knowledge. They don't know how to react when some other "facts" are thrown at them to oppose their beliefs.

I've had some experiences in the past trying to "spread the truth of the world" to others to only realize that all I am doing is sounding like an idiot to these people. So now I'll let those who are experts at explaining the subject sound their voice to the willing ear.

Oh God no no no no no no no not this again...Next someone will post bloody Loose Change. Please, everyone, don't watch this, save yourself from irrevocably wasting two hours of your life on complete nonsense. Incidentally, why is it that these movies have the worst pacing possible?

Well anything related to 9/11 is, but mostly an exceptionally dumb one. We also already had that debacle of a thread.

You read it on the internet. It MUST be true!

It's better to question things then to assume "the truth" you were told all your life. What harm is there in questioning the reality you live in?

Sure, you should question, but the questions become stupid once you're ignoring evidence and logic. By the way, I did watch a significant part of Loose Change and read some of the rebuttals, so don't break out the sheeple.

I fail to see what's so revalatory about it anyway. The beginning is simply stating, in an unbelievably biased way, that religions did not develop in a vacuum and were influenced by other religions, and some people are ignorant about their religion and its history (ZOMG!). The middle part is just Loose Change again (speaking of it, debunking it and other 9/11 conspiracies--or you can read it), and the end is the standard Illuminati/New World Order nonsense.

Also, hahaha.

Plus, all I have seen is evidence against the "truths" we were told. Or the truths told to the masses.

Ok, although I would advise just reading these things because Loose Change is almost as retardedly long as Zeitgeist. I mean, I'm not going to argue this with you because those sites say everything I could possibly say, and if you still believe it after all that there's nothing I can do to pursuade you.

On a lighter note, these are relevant and interesting.

Note: I advise against watching Loose Change in any form, it is long and dumb. There are plenty of other sources to refute its and other lies that you can just read and so take way less time.

This is your evidence against conspiracy theories in general? So I'm the one looking at manipulated snips of video put together and you have webcomics.
